Review Summary

Overall, Cass Café comes across as a welcoming, stylish vegan focused spot with a warm vibe, a strong emphasis on sustainability, and a generous terrace that makes it a popular daytime hangout. Visitors praise the friendly staff, attentive service, and consistently good coffee and vegan pastries, from banana bread and matcha treats to grilled cheese and cashew cheese bowls. The atmosphere is described as cozy and chic, with a lively yet not overpowering soundtrack, live music on Sundays, and a versatile space that invites lingering. Several reviews highlight the quality of the espresso and the variety of drinks including lattes, matcha, hojicha, and seasonal specials, while the vegan food options receive high marks for flavor and execution. Some notes mention that the pastry quality can vary and one mention of a more expensive orange flavoured americano upsell, plus a few critiques about a particular pastry texture, but the overall sentiment remains that Cass Café is a standout in the city for vegan food and excellent coffee. The terrace is repeatedly singled out as one of the best in the area, making Cass Café a reliable go-to destination for both locals and visitors.

How nice to not have to specify plant based milk! Cass Cafe is a smart & stylish sustainable cafe that's nearly zero-waste. Their cosy, hip vibe will draw you in & the quality of everything they offer will bring you back again & again. Lovely staff & great coffee - as well as tasty vegan food options. They just installed a huge terrace for summer - I expect this hidden gem won't be hidden much longer. Highlights - all coffee, matcha-limo, hojicha, bagel & cashew cheese, grilled cheese, & salad bowls.

Such a treat to discover a new fully vegan cafe!

I has the chocolate croissant & the pesto grilled cheese panini which were both reasonably priced & delicious. There were some nice big tables for groups to sit, & when we went on Sunday afternoon they had some live music playing which was lovely.

Can't wait to go back 💕
