Welcome to Casa Mare, a family-run bring-your-own-wine restaurant that has spanned three generations since 1974.
Founded in 1974 by Marco Fanone, his son Oreste Fanone took over until 2024. Since November 2024, the founder's granddaughter, Sandra, and her husband, Maxim, have taken over the reins of the family business.
A varied menu, a warm decor that will transport you to Italy for an evening and the possibility of bringing your own wine, these are the reasons for our success.
Whether you are looking for a place for a romantic dinner, an evening with friends or family, bring your favorite bottle of wine and come and enjoy your favorite Italian meals.
Casa Mare offers consistently delicious Italian fare with pizza and pasta that showcase fresh ingredients, a crisp crust, and flavorful sauces. The atmosphere feels cozy and welcoming, and service is friendly and attentive, making it a family-friendly spot worth returning to. The menu shines with crowd-pleasers like a deluxe pizza with bacon, hearty pastas, and a standout salmon plate, and takeout and catering are reliable options. Value is appreciated thanks to generous portions, reasonable prices, and helpful promos, plus a BYOW option for added savings. On busy weekend nights the room can get loud, and a few dishes may arrive just a touch warm or slightly dry, but these moments are outweighed by the overall quality and consistency. Overall, Casa Mare is frequently recommended for comforting, well-prepared Italian fare, welcoming service, and a memorable dining experience.
Yummy 😋Absolutely delicious! Casa Mare serves some of the best pizza & pasta I've had in a long time. The flavors are authentic, fresh, & perfectly balanced - you can really taste the quality ingredients. The pizza crust was crisp & airy, & the pasta was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is cozy & welcoming, & the service was friendly & attentive. A true gem - highly recommend for anyone craving great Italian food!
Service is great & attentive. The atmosphere is fun when the place fills up, however the food is an old school american-italian fare.....so it's not Italian at all, however the restaurant seems to be busy so that & it's been around forever they are doing something right, it's just not my thing

we were a big group of a about 20. Service was great. Food was just what I expected from a traditional Italian place. The Caesar salad was perfect & the chicken parmigiana made me feel warm & satisfied! Everyone seemed very happy with their choices, wether it was pasta, pizza, or even the fish.
A lovely cosy little gem featuring amazing Italian food, hidden away in a strip Mall on Pierrefonds blvd Had not been there in ages & found the food was fantastic...authentic & delicious. A new menu filled with many choices with reasonable prices. The service was great / the portions very plentiful, we could not finish it all so they provide boxes so you can savour the leftovers the next day ! Bring your own wine makes it even more appealing & inviting. Would highly recommend & will be returning again very soon ! 5 Star rating...on all counts. Thank you Casa Mare for a wonderful evening.
This used to be one of my favourite Italian little restaurants in the west island but I do think they can improve. One of my favourites is their calzones & they still make it perfectly however their other dishes used to be better & more thought out
Very nice old style Italian restaurant. Bring your own wine, but unfortunately I forgot to bring a bottle. Food is delicious. We ordered three amazing pasta dishes. Service is excellent. There was also soft background music which created a pleasant atmosphere & enhanced the overall ambiance of the restaurant.

Small Italian Restaurant. Bring your own wine option really brings in clientele. Food & service was good. Group of 8 & all seemed satisfied. Not too expensive for meal we received.
Nice italian restaurant where you can bring your own wine. We went with some friends & we were all impressed. Food was delicious & the prices are good. My wife had a seafood pizza & I had a seafood platter. WOW ! Nice portion, tasty, good price & Excellent service. We will definitely go back !! Finally a good BYOW in the west island !
I've eaten here four times...always the pizza...never disappointed! It's fresh, authentic & well-priced.
The restaurant is pretty, functional & makes for a romantic evening. My co-diners were equally pleased with the various dishes they ordered. Service, even on busier weekend evenings, is in my experience smooth & punctual.
All-in-all, a great West Island gem to get your "fix" for those authentic Italian cuisine hunger cravings.
What a treat. Finally I found a resto that is close to home, fantastic food, not pretentious & BYOB. Went this week for the first time, & was very surprised. Super quaint resto with a family & friendly atmosphere. I am always disappointed when you go out for Italian fare & receive bread with butter.....not here. Lovely Italian crusty rolls with oil & vinegar. Had the Arrabiata & my friend had the pasta & meat balls......all home made & very tasty. Even more surprising, when the chef found out it was our first time he actually came out to see if we enjoyed the meal. Unheard of in so many places. Overall, had a wonderful experience & will be back again.
We stumbled across his restaurant after typing in the search term "BYOB" (bring your own wine). After much discussion we decided to give the Casa Mare a try since it was in driving distance & we both had a craving for Italian.
WE were pleasantly surprised.
After being seated immediately, the friendly waitress opened our wine & explained some of the "Table d'Hote" choices on the menu.
We started with the fried Calamari & a small Cesar salad.
"The portions were huge!!"
The Fried Calamari was delicious & light & the(small) Cesar salad could easily feed the two of us.
The Chef "Frank" greeted us at our table & asked how we were enjoying our meal so far....i said it was simply "amazing"!!& he proceeded to give us a little history (38 years) of this family run restaurant.
We then started the main course ...a Homemade tasty pizza that was listed for 2 but clearly could feed 4 . (wow ! they know how to make pizza)We were so full that we brought half of the remaining pizza home with us.(a tasty lunch the following day).
To sum up the evening...The decorative ambiance inside brings a touch of Italy to mind & the staff are fun to talk with.
The food is tasty & fresh & the portions are huge for the money.
I would recommend this restaurant to any one as we plan to return soon ourselves.
A hidden gem in the West Island. Authentic Italian home cooking: pasta is tasty & fresh, caesar salad great, veal parmesan is some of the best we've had.
Service is excellent; responsive & professional. Atmosphere is quiet, cozy & friendly. Frank & his staff are welcoming & care about their customers' satisfaction. Great place for dinner for two, with friends, or or for a private event.
