C'est par hasard que nous avons trouvé ce petit restaurant italien, en faisant une recherche Internet "apportez votre vin", à la dernière minute. Nous avons tous été agréablement surprit par les plats délicieux qui nous ont été servit, des entrées jusqu'aux desserts. Le chef propriétaire est venu nous saluer à la fin de notre repas, petite touche fort sympathique. J'ai très hâte d'y retourner pour déguster à nouveau les calmars à la Toscane, une entrée originale & délicieuse !

Accueil chaleureuse . Très belle ambiance avec la musique italienne.On n'a pas besoin du couteau pour couper les scallopini de veau au marsela que j'ai mangé. Mon conjoint a prit l'osso buco tendre & délicieux. On a été surpris de voir le chef venir voir les clients plus tard dans la soirée..Nos amis on aussi appréciés les cannellonis fait maison..super bon bon bon....Petit resto Italien à découvrir & surtout vous apportez votre vin...

What a treat. Finally I found a resto that is close to home, fantastic food, not pretentious & BYOB. Went this week for the first time, & was very surprised. Super quaint resto with a family & friendly atmosphere. I am always disappointed when you go out for Italian fare & receive bread with butter.....not here. Lovely Italian crusty rolls with oil & vinegar. Had the Arrabiata & my friend had the pasta & meat balls......all home made & very tasty. Even more surprising, when the chef found out it was our first time he actually came out to see if we enjoyed the meal. Unheard of in so many places. Overall, had a wonderful experience & will be back again.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I don't like making new accounts for websites just so I can comment, but finally, I felt compelled to tell people about the great pizza I've been eating for YEARS. There's a competition in the West Island every year to determine who has the best pizza, & every year it's a bogus list. I make my own pizza which is infinitely superior to any on those list, don't ask me, ask the people I've made it for. But Casa Mare, who is never on that list by the way, should be NUMBER 1 EVERY YEAR. The pizza here is to die for. The dough is perfect, the toppings unbelievable. If they only made pizza, they'd still be one of the best restaurants in the West Island. I wish more people knew about this place. Now I've gotta wait until 4 so I can order myself a nice pizza... tick tock.

I've eaten often at Case Mare & I enjoy the food & the ambiance everytime. Being Italian myself, the food is 100% Italian authentic!

The pizza is the best in town....

We stumbled across his restaurant after typing in the search term "BYOB" (bring your own wine). After much discussion we decided to give the Casa Mare a try since it was in driving distance & we both had a craving for Italian.
WE were pleasantly surprised.
After being seated immediately, the friendly waitress opened our wine & explained some of the "Table d'Hote" choices on the menu.

We started with the fried Calamari & a small Cesar salad.
"The portions were huge!!"
The Fried Calamari was delicious & light & the(small) Cesar salad could easily feed the two of us.
The Chef "Frank" greeted us at our table & asked how we were enjoying our meal so far....i said it was simply "amazing"!!& he proceeded to give us a little history (38 years) of this family run restaurant.
We then started the main course ...a Homemade tasty pizza that was listed for 2 but clearly could feed 4 . (wow ! they know how to make pizza)We were so full that we brought half of the remaining pizza home with us.(a tasty lunch the following day).

To sum up the evening...The decorative ambiance inside brings a touch of Italy to mind & the staff are fun to talk with.
The food is tasty & fresh & the portions are huge for the money.
I would recommend this restaurant to any one as we plan to return soon ourselves.

A hidden gem in the West Island. Authentic Italian home cooking: pasta is tasty & fresh, caesar salad great, veal parmesan is some of the best we've had.

Service is excellent; responsive & professional. Atmosphere is quiet, cozy & friendly. Frank & his staff are welcoming & care about their customers' satisfaction. Great place for dinner for two, with friends, or or for a private event.

Beau petit restaurant, belle ambience service courtois & bonne nourriture pour de bons prix! Avec l'opportunité d'amener son propre vin cela deviend un de mes endroits favoris!!
