About us

Casa Galicia has been a staple of Spanish cuisine in Montreal since 1977. Founded by Laurentino Oliveira and still proudly family-run, the tradition continues today with Jorge Oliveira and David Oliveira at the helm.

Recognized as one of the best Spanish restaurants in North America, Casa Galicia specializes in authentic Galician cuisine, offering classic dishes like paella, zarzuela, and a variety of regional specialties. Guests can pair their meals with a refreshing pitcher of sangria considered among the best in Montreal, or explore the restaurant’s unique wine cellar, featuring reserve wines from Spain’s most prestigious winemaking regions.

Amazing food & service. The staff was very attentive without being overbearing. Portions are huge. Great quality/quantity/price ratio. Will definitely go back & I highly recommend this place.

Found this gem through a Google srarch & so glad we did. Unbelievable food, very friendly staff, salt of the earth people. We were in the mood for paella & they did not dissappoint. Absolutely delicious & reasonably priced.
We walked from old montreal as the whole city is virtually walkable.

Restaurant atrape nigo en annonçant spectacle flamenco jouer par des débutants & qui dure à peine 30 minutes bonjour l'ambiance par contre la cuisine est bonne sur le site internet il vous faut voir super guitariste avec les danseuses mais c'est pas le cas vous pouvez me croire par expérience parce que je suis guitariste flamenco de France donc pour moi publicité mensongère

This is a long-established place that has proved itself over 40 years. It is not trendy, noisy, crowded, hurried or overpriced. Its decor is a bit dated & clichéd, but it gets the important stuff right. We had the table d'hôte: gaspacho & lobster bisque to start, main courses seafood paella & cazuela, a good albarino, followed with dessert & coffee = $150. Good homestyle cooking---une cuisine honnête!---fresh ingredients, seasoned experience, no fuss & no pretension, friendly & attentive service.

Really excellent Gazpacho & the best Spanish Garlic Chicken we ever had. Sangria was balanced, fruity & refreshing. Service great! Highly recommend!
