Casa Galicia has been a staple of Spanish cuisine in Montreal since 1977. Founded by Laurentino Oliveira and still proudly family-run, the tradition continues today with Jorge Oliveira and David Oliveira at the helm.
Recognized as one of the best Spanish restaurants in North America, Casa Galicia specializes in authentic Galician cuisine, offering classic dishes like paella, zarzuela, and a variety of regional specialties. Guests can pair their meals with a refreshing pitcher of sangria considered among the best in Montreal, or explore the restaurant’s unique wine cellar, featuring reserve wines from Spain’s most prestigious winemaking regions.
The warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly service, and distinctive décor make every visit memorable. On weekends, the experience is elevated with live flamenco performances, including a professional Spanish guitarist, bringing a touch of Spain’s vibrant culture to the heart of the city.

Had a lovely night out at Casa Galicia. The seafood & Paella were delicious, fresh & portions were generous. The staff were very pleasant & sociable. The ambiance was very cozy & the decor was authentic. We were even offered a complementary Porto after our meal.We had a wonderful time & will go back.
Had a birthday celebration here last night. The ambience is authentic European, with beautiful decorations & flamenco live shows on some nights. The staff were very welcoming, accommodating & had big smiles on their faces during the whole night. They are really passionate about their establishment. The food was also amazing & the drinks as well. 5 stars

My boyfriend & I heard about this restaurant on social media & the vibes looked nice, so we decided to try it. The decor & flamenco show were unique & interesting which we liked! However, the food was underwhelming for the price we paid. Everything was okay, but not great, which is what we would've expected for the 170$ we paid. Same goes for the service. The waiter we had at the beginning was good, but he seemingly left halfway through our meal & no other server came to replace him….we were left trying to flag down employees for every request, not even receiving water until dessert. Overall, food ok but not great service & really not worth the price in our opinion. Sad because we were very excited about this place :((
Delicious food in generous portions served by gracious & attentive staff in charming ambiance. This is a perfect spot for a cozy evening spent listening to great Spanish music, enjoying the cuisine & feeling nestled in tastefully decorated restaurant.
The restaurant's cozy, rustic decor & lively music immediately made us feel like we were in Spain. We started with a selection of delicious tapas, with the grilled octopus being my favorite. For the main course, we had a seafood paella that was incredibly flavorful. The staff were very friendly & welcoming. I highly recommend this place for a lovely evening out in town.
The real hidden gem in the heart of quartier latin of Montreal, tasty food comes in a very generous portion, charming yet authentic decoration, splendid Flamenco performance, amazing Sangria...you got all fabulous ingredients to bake an unforgettable evening. We especially appreciated the delicate & welcoming service from George & Felio. Our only regret was not being able to try their dessert...we are quite certain they must be exquisite.
Excellent ambiance, decor, music, food & service. It was a great experience. The grilled octopus one of the best We had a great cava to go with everything. The tapas in the appetizer section the Garlic shrimps WOW the paella Galicia was amazing ,I recommend this restaurant with excellent unique decoration & taste to everyone looking for a Medditerranean experience in Montreal

Casa Galicia is an absolute gem in Montreal! I can't praise their seafood enough – it's simply the best I've ever tasted. The experience was made even more memorable as it became the perfect spot to bond with my mother on a special occasion. The beautiful interior decoration added a delightful touch, making our visit truly unforgettable.
The food is absolutely delicious & your taste buds will bring you right back to Spain. The hospitality is very welcoming, the staff is very attentive & kind. The flamenco show is very raw & authentic & will allow you to dream. The decor, ambiance, food & entertainment really make you feel as though you've stepped into another world. I have been there a few times & I am never disappointed & eager to go back.
