Casa Galicia has been a staple of Spanish cuisine in Montreal since 1977. Founded by Laurentino Oliveira and still proudly family-run, the tradition continues today with Jorge Oliveira and David Oliveira at the helm.

Recognized as one of the best Spanish restaurants in North America, Casa Galicia specializes in authentic Galician cuisine, offering classic dishes like paella, zarzuela, and a variety of regional specialties. Guests can pair their meals with a refreshing pitcher of sangria considered among the best in Montreal, or explore the restaurant’s unique wine cellar, featuring reserve wines from Spain’s most prestigious winemaking regions.

Had such a beautiful dinner for 2! The octopus salad was tender & delicious! The grilled shrimp , calamari & cod cakes were fabulous! Then the amazing,delicious valencia paella! From the food to the wonderful staff this is the place to eat!! Thank you!!

Such a lovely, warm, delicious evening. Casa Galicia has been hiding in plain sight since opening in 1977. I've gone over the years but for the first time with a Spanish friend who confirmed my suspicions that this was one of the best Spanish restos in Montreal. Authentic & delicious, their preparation & & service excels in almost every way. Oh we will all be back & I can bet so will you when once you try it!

The first time I went there was 2018 summer, & the best memory was the Octopus Salad, it was so good. Unfortunately, the Octopus Salad I had tonight was really disappointing, because the octopus didn't taste fresh, like thawed octopus, there was a lot of water in the octopus meat.

The cod nuggets, squid/shrimps plancha & paella were ok, but the octopus salad as an appetizer was such a disappointment & not worth the high price.
