Casa Galicia has been a staple of Spanish cuisine in Montreal since 1977. Founded by Laurentino Oliveira and still proudly family-run, the tradition continues today with Jorge Oliveira and David Oliveira at the helm.

Recognized as one of the best Spanish restaurants in North America, Casa Galicia specializes in authentic Galician cuisine, offering classic dishes like paella, zarzuela, and a variety of regional specialties. Guests can pair their meals with a refreshing pitcher of sangria considered among the best in Montreal, or explore the restaurant’s unique wine cellar, featuring reserve wines from Spain’s most prestigious winemaking regions.

About the Discovery Menu/Menu Découvert, the Paella Valenciana is not good. Rice was not well mixed with the whole content & so, it lacks the flavour. Octopus, squids, shells & shrimps were all over cooked.

The appetizers: Octopus salad, cod nuggets, squids & shrimps were all exquisitely cooked!

Service rapide & courtois, magnifique carte des vins. Nous avons pris le menu découverte Valenciana. La pieuvre, calmars & crevettes étaient exquis.. la paella était toutefois décevante les fruits de mers étaient trop cuits (vraiment desséchés) & même le poulet était sec.. disons que ça a gâché un peu l'expérience comme si la paella avait été réchauffé au four jusqu'au service.. c'était notre première expérience & nous l'avons souligné au serveur.. j'y retournerai sûrement en m'assurant de passer le message avant de commander.

Super belle soirée ! Service hors pair & convivial. Les patrons sont au rendez-vous. Carte de vin abordable, repas un peu $$$$. La pieuvre est excellente, l'agneau dans la paëlla un peu trop cuit à mon goût.. Somme toute ça vaut le détou
