An air of Paris or Amsterdam in Montreal? You will soon believe that you are in Europe going on first floating coffee in town, the Canal Lounge, located close to the Atwater Market. Make yourself comfortable in a 45 years old boat, but certainly fresh and colorful design, the cozy atmosphere and inimitable view. At night, coffee becomes a lounge where music and lights awakens the boat.
Canal Lounge comes across as a unique, charming spot on the water where dining happens aboard a boat on the Lachine Canal, offering a small, intimate setting that enhances the vibe. The atmosphere is romantic and the canal views are a highlight, with ship themed decor and options to sit inside or outside, including top deck seating with a great view. Drinks are well crafted and snacks are offered, though some reviews note a somewhat limited menu and occasional slower service, while staff are described as friendly and efficient in other visits. Overall, the experience is considered lovely and worth returning, making Canal Lounge a distinctive canal-side option for summer evenings and casual drinks.
One of my favorite spots! We celebrated a friend's birthday here & even brought a cake. The management was super friendly & welcoming.
I ordered a margarita based on the bartender's recommendation, & it was amazing.
Every time I go with my friends, we always make great memories.
I've never actually managed to sit in the upstairs boat area though-only took pictures there 😊
Such a great hangout place, especially if you live in Griffintown or nearby!
It is a unique spot in the water. We had dinner in a boat in the lachine canal. So cool! The place is very small so there is limited capacity. But it is totally worth it for a date night. Fancy food in a cute setting. Right in the water. There is no danger. It is safe. The people are nice & friendly too!

Lounge is a very nice spot with a romantic setting by the canal. It's small & somewhat atypical, which adds to its charm. That said, the menu could benefit from offering more options.
This place & the concept are really nice! We were able to seat on top of the boat & the view is great. The drinks are good & even tjough their menu isn't big it's good. The staff was also really kind & fast. Will definitely go back!
Ordered sangria. It was very nice. Very cute place with nice view of the canal. Wish i could have a got a upper seating view but nevertheless loved the vibe.

Spot atypique sortant du vieux montreal , sur les abords du canal de Lachine, bateau mouche accosté & accueillant de 15h à 23h du mardi au samedi, proposant cocktails & petits snacking (Chips, olives...) dans une ambiance lounge.
On s y sent vraiment bien !
I get what they're trying to do, & the staff are really friendly - but it's missing something for me. I'm afraid to say but the boat looks a bit tired inside & decoration is limited. The food was also really disappointing - it felt grocery-shop bought. The flowers outside however are beautiful. If a bit of money was spent I think this would be a great spot.
