They advertise an egg muffin & coffee for 5.99 which we had last week.Today I returned again with my wife & this time the server justifies charging $8.00 each for the same duo. I won't be returning with this inconsistency. Besides, the muffin is so tiny . Not impressed.This kid has attitude & runs the place like he owns it. Stay away!!!!!!!
The young man manning the place said they were closing at 4pm, with no reason given... so I rushed to finish my coffee which he filled only 3/4 of the way & my turkey blt which had no vegetables in it. Definitely gave an idgaf vibe. Almost as bad as the girl who is almost too busy talking on her phone to notice you.
The big windows make the place nice & bright, but the floors are quite tired looking & make the place feel kindof grungy. At least the prices are reasonable for the area.

Great coffee & customer service! I dropped my grilled cheese on the floor & she gave me another one for free! If you're in old Montreal, stop here for a coffee & snack!
very nice café; probably one of the best ones to chill, work, or study. staff is very friendly, & the place is clean. coffee is good.
only issue i have is the opening hours, i know it says it opens at 7am on the weekends, but it seems roughly between 7:45-8:30am maybe even later. not sure why… but if it has been changed, please update it on google maps so others know!

This is what Van Houtte is all about - friendly service, fresh sandwiches, premium coffee, comfy seats, plenty of tables, several easy access power sockets, rock-solid fast internet. & the coffee was spectacular. Highly recommended.
The cafe is warm & inviting with lots of windows for natural light & elevated off the street. Couch areas perfect for families. The egg, ham, & cheese croissant was very tasty. The hot chocolate also! & finally & most importantly, the counter staff was so kind & welcoming. As time allowed, they brought our food directly to our tables, & mad us feel like guests (as opposed to other coffee shops that often make you feel as if you are bothering or annoying them.) This sense of personal interaction (contrary to the culture of anonymity) made the experience memorable & why we visited again. Recommend for families & solo travelers, for a respite from the cold :)
Best Coffee shop I have been to in a long time. Chris the owner has been very hospitable & a delight to sit & talk to while enjoying breakfast. Nicole is very talented & her baking is spectacular. She made my new favorite pastry every morning fresh.

Visiting from Florida for a week. Looking for Tim Hortons & stumbled upon this beautiful place. Day#4, we have been here everyday, sometimes more then once. Still have not visited Tim Hortons. Nicole has made one of the best coffees I have ever tasted & this is coming from someone who drinks coffee 2-3 times a day. Nicole always smiling always happy just an amazing person. Christopher with a vibrant amazing personality always made us feel welcomed. Gave us tips, directions, always welcomed us. Long story short, we still haven't visited Tim Hortons. This place has been our best decision on our trip. My wife even made a statement " if we come back in 2years & these employees aren't here, it will be sad".
Greaf service & amazing coffee from a warm & friendly team. Always ready to help & constantly exceeding my expectations. Its like walking into the home of a friend & feeling instantly at ease!
Excellent croissants & coffee, & super friendly service. They even opened early for me, so I could chill & read in the cafe at 7am. Highly recommended!
This writer thrives on the three things reviewed. My egg & sausage muffin was delicious & it was my second visit. There is a 6$ special right now, 12 Oz. Coffee, egg, sausage/or ham/ or bacon, & a great seat. Spent 4 hours here last visit, met a great future reader of my books.

We were strolling by & decided to pop in to get some coffee & a bite. We were greeted by Raja with a warm smile . Later came to know she is the owner. Beautiful clean barista with a cozy ambiance. Enjoyed it & will be back. 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Surprisingly good coffee & muffins. Normally, you do not expect it from a franchise shop, but this place is a pleasant surprise. Also, very comfy & chill atmosphere for a conversation & some work.
