The biggest disappointment was this 7$ that was of very bad quality. The waffle were not crispy but rather like cake or very soft cookies. I had a hard time cutting the eggs up as well.
I had the sweet & savoury. The Belgian waffles were stale & too sweet. The music was good.
Great breakfast spot. Our server was very kind & attentive! The omelette & waffles were amazing, highly recommend.
We got the classic breakfast & the Belgian waffles & enjoyed both. They also offered gluten free toast
It was like a year ago that I came here, but I figure better late than never. The food made enough of an impression that I still remember it well. I loved my Belgian waffle breakfast here - the mini waffles were very soft & beautifully garnished with fresh fruit & nutella, plus a nice little fresh fruit salad on the side with citrus & melons. Very nice golden latte. Cozy, intimate ambiance, although they may have moved since I visited so I'm not sure if it's the same now. The service was kind of lax, but again, old review, so that may or may be relevant now.
5 star place if you are a Gen-Z TikToker who likes their Swifty playlist nice & way too loud!
If you're not...Bruh...it may not be for you.
Like everything on Social Media & AirBnb, it's amazing what digital touchups can do. We were surprised that it didn't look as nice as it did in the photos. No cap.
I was gagged when they said breakfast was not being served, with no mention of that on the menu or website.
Over 15 dollars for a lox & cream cheese bagel? Big Yikes.
Oh, & don't order the Belgian Waffles unless you like 3 of the smallest pieces of dough you've ever seen. These things looked like baby turtles fleeing from their shells into the sea. It gave major ick vibes.
The food presentation is nice, & I guess that's part of the high prices. We took the L on that one.
Head here if you want brunch with your bae besties & fire skibidi toilet rizz music, stay away if you want a chill brunch with affordable filling food.
It is a lovely place for breakfast. The decor is beautiful. The service was fast. The plates were small than expected but the food was delicious. I tried the Sweet & Savoury. The waffles were not made on site.
It was a snowy winter morning when I stumbled into Café St-Barth for the first time. Little did I know, this moment would mark the onset of my mimosa & Belgian waffle addiction!
Hearing the chatter of the patrons, the aromas of the kitchen, along with the sight of couples & families laughing - it was clear we walked into the epicenter of the local community.
With the diverse menu bursting at the seams, it is often hard to settle for only one dish. They say you must first experience agony to experience ecstasy; this holds true, as we clutched the menus in anticipation for our order to arrive. One piece of advice when ordering: there are no wrong options.
If you haven't been here, I implore you change that.
I'm so glad we stopped here for breakfast! The latte was the best I had in Montréal. So smooth, rich, perfect ammount of lavender flavor & perfectly made. I also loved the atmosphere. They offer discounts to college students, so the café was full of students working & collaborating, which gave the place such a lively & hip vibe. It made me nostalgic for my own college days! Our breakfast was delightful. My partner ordered the waffle, whcuh was actually three little waffles so cutely presented & came with a generous serving of fresh fruit & delicious whipped cream/maple syrup. Of course, I had to take a bite. I had the avocado toast with eggs, which was more like guacamole toast, but it was flavorful & satisfying. The waitstaff was friendly & attentive. I'd definitely recommend this spot for a cozy, delicious start to your day in Montréal!
I had a fantastic hot chocolate here last week. The waffles are excellent too. The servers were kind & it's a good spot for studying!
These people messed up waffles. How does one mess up waffles? My husband & I came here on Christmas eve morning because many other breakfast places were closed & this one seemed to be open. First of all, we sat there for an extremely long time before anyone attended to us even though the restaurant was not that busy. Our food looked deceivingly good, but was extremely disappointing to taste. I ordered an avocado eggs benedict which was extremely average, & my husband got some sort of breakfast bagel. He was also extremely disappointed. We thought why not refresh our taste buds & get some belgian waffles? The waffles came, they looked beautiful. I take my fork & knife & try to dig into a piece...I nearly break the plate trying to do so. The waffle was rock hard. It wasn't cold? So we assumed they were not frozen, they were just extremely bland & hurt our teeth to chew. My husband paid $50 for our meals & was extremely disappointed
Brunch is awesome here compared to the chain brunch places in town. The St Barth Benny has a delicious hollandaise sauce, a fluffy croissant, & some beautifully runny eggs - all accompanied with seasoned baked potatoes & a large fruit bowl. The sweet & savory is also great! The fresh (& not overly sweet) waffles are to die for. Omelette is just okay (could definitely use more cheese, portion also seems a bit small in comparison). The atmosphere & decor are also really nice, I'll definitely be coming back for more :)
Cafe St-Barth is a quaint, bright & welcoming cafe where you are certain to enjoy your breakfast. My friend & I dined on a Sunday morning & ordered Belgian Waffles & a Veggie Omelet. The presentation & taste of our food were great. My friend loved his Belgian Waffles & I found the flavor of the Omelet to be fresh & delicious. The service was excellent. We are so glad that we found Cafe St. Barth while visiting Montreal. I recommend this Cafe for breakfast. I hope you give it a try.
Amazing breakfast spot! The food was delicious, especially the waffles, avocado toast, & bagels. The staff was friendly & the atmosphere was cozy. Highly recommend
The croffles (croissant waffles) were delightful & done to perfection! I got a latte & green smoothie as well. The smoothie was very well balanced with ample of soothing ginger coming through, perfect for those hot mornings. They were air conditioned so it was very pleasant dining inside.
A lovely & bright brunch cafe near McGill & the plateau. The interior is bright with a classic yet modern ambiance. The tables are small so it is better for 1-2 people rather than large groups as the restaurant is relatively small. We tried the waffles & the French toast. The latter was perfect & of sufficient portion for two. The waffle was a bit like a biscuit in texture so not sure if that was intended or something unusual in the mix. The presentation was beautiful & the service was friendly. The menu has options to satisfy a variety of vegetarian options in both savour & sweet.
I didn't understand the hype around this place; my friend brought me there for my birthday. The food is so overpriced. The waffle are really dense with a hard texture. They didn't even bring toast with my eggs & the portions were so small...
Generally a disappointment. Menu sounds delicious but the food was across the board tasteless. I don't understand how an avocado toast with egg & pesto on a sesame bagel could be so totally lacking in flavor. The side salad that accompanied the toast was also just a variety of texture, no flavor at all. The sweet & savory special was hilarious at the small size of the miniature waffles, which was unexpected, but on the whole OK. The potatoes, which looked like they would be amazing, tasted like nothing. Again just texture. Coffee was also bad. Service was scarce & hard to get anyone's attention. Very loud & hard to have a conversation. They can't all be gems.
