I have been going to Cafe Souvenir for decades. It has always been consistently great even when the ownership changed a few times. While the former concept was fantastic with the passport menu & more choices than you could ever try, I love this current ownership & iteration of the cafe & menu. It's owner run, so they know what they're doing & the attention to detail is there. Warm milk with your coffee, omelettes brought straight from the pan, to name a few details I appreciate. They know how to cook; French from France style. So many restaurants in Montreal have gone up in price & down in value. Not Cafe Souvenir! They are doing it well & I highly recommend them. Great, friendly service. One of my regular brunch places.View more

My recent visit to Cafe Souvenir left much to be desired. Not only was the food mediocre, particularly the chicken egg benedict, but the service was also subpar. We had to repeatedly ask for things, & my coffee order was forgotten entirely. Even when requesting a refill, only half of my mug was filled, & the milk arrived almost when we were leaving. Overall, a disappointing experience that I won't be repeating.View more
