Je suis allée en famille au Café Souvenir récemment & tout a été parfait !
Leur nouvelle carte est un véritable régal. Les smoothies sont incroyablement rafraîchissants, parfaits pour une pause bien méritée. Nous avons aussi testé plusieurs plats, & chaque bouchée était un délice. Les oeufs bénédictines étaient délicieux, tout comme le Parisien & le bagel fumé.
Mais le clou du repas a été le burger souvenir & les gnocchis aux champignons. Je n'ai même pas les mots pour décrire à quel point ces plats étaient incroyables - un véritable coup de coeur !
En plus de la nourriture, le service était impeccable : accueillant, courtois & souriant. L'équipe nous a vraiment fait sentir comme chez nous.
Si vous cherchez un endroit où vous régaler avec de bons plats, dans une ambiance chaleureuse, je vous recommande vivement de passer au Café Souvenir. Vous ne serez pas déçu de tester leur nouvelle carte!
Excellente place pour un brunch ! On y est allés en famille, avec un bébé de 2 ans. La personne a l'accueil a été d'une patience & d'une gentillesse incroyables
I have been going to Cafe Souvenir for decades. It has always been consistently great even when the ownership changed a few times. While the former concept was fantastic with the passport menu & more choices than you could ever try, I love this current ownership & iteration of the cafe & menu. It's owner run, so they know what they're doing & the attention to detail is there. Warm milk with your coffee, omelettes brought straight from the pan, to name a few details I appreciate. They know how to cook; French from France style. So many restaurants in Montreal have gone up in price & down in value. Not Cafe Souvenir! They are doing it well & I highly recommend them. Great, friendly service. One of my regular brunch places.
I use to go there each time I'm coming to this area & before it was absolutely delicious, however, this time it was absolutely awful! The bread was full of water the potatoes was over cooked & the ham was not the ham they use to put...Also the sauce for the Benedict eggs was tasting water. Really for the last 20 years it was the worst experience ever! Unfortunately I will not go back there & I don't recommend it anymore...please do something for the regular customers...

My recent visit to Cafe Souvenir left much to be desired. Not only was the food mediocre, particularly the chicken egg benedict, but the service was also subpar. We had to repeatedly ask for things, & my coffee order was forgotten entirely. Even when requesting a refill, only half of my mug was filled, & the milk arrived almost when we were leaving. Overall, a disappointing experience that I won't be repeating.
Still remains my favorite restaurant on Bernard. While prices went up everywhere, at least you leave here without feeling cheated. Never had anything but the nicest service. & if most of the food choices are rather simple... they are good & I like them.
Rien de vraiment exceptionnel dans ce petit resto brunch. Bouffe correcte sans plus. Nous avons mangé en 30min & on nous a gentiment chassées de la table pour accueillir un autre groupe. On nous propose le comptoir, jusque là ça passe. 10min plus tard on nous expulse du resto pour asseoir d'autres personnes. Victime de son succès, très achalandé, je crois que l'expérience sur place devient quelconque ou même désagréable. Je me suis spécialement déplacée de la rive sud, pour m'asseoir pendant 30min & devoir continuer ma discussion avec mon amie dehors sous le tempo en attendant que la pluie diminue...
The owner is amazingly nice. We showed up on a very rainy day with our dog. He had closed the front patio but offered us a table to accommodate our pet. The service was impeccable, food was delicious & the attention to our needs was outstanding! Bravo & merci! Vraiment une expérience qui nous a fait grand plaisir.
