J'ai été visiter ce petit café cette semaine. D'abord, le service était particulièrement agréable. La dame était polie, enthousiaste & très gentille. J'ai été particulièrement satisfaite de savoir qu'ils augmentent les quantités de cafés selon le format choisi, le café est goûteux & agréable. Je recommande vivement!
I just finished reading the book Unreasonable Hospitality, so I'm more aware than usual of the quality of service at business establishments. Maybe Maude also read the book & is applying it to her job as barista (owner?) at Café La Bine, but more likely it just comes to her naturally.
She gave a warm, genuine welcome; she noticed I was pulling a computer from my bag & pointed out the wifi information (I usually have to look around or ask at coffee shops); when I ordered a half-caf latte, she served it & let me know it was half-caf (sometimes baristas forget to make a decaf or half-caf & I always wonder if they remembered). We had a short, pleasant conversation about why I was visiting Montreal.
The space was great for computer work - several tables had outlets nearby. The bathroom was possibly the cleanest I've seen in a coffee shop housed in an old building.
Oh - the matcha cookie with raspberry center was perfect. :)

J'ai pas aimé comment on m'a mis de la pression pour recommander quelque chose pour justifier que je reste au café'longtemps' (un peu moins de 2h à ce moment & le café était à moitié vide)
si c'est pour se poser, il y a de meilleures options de café dans le quartier selon moi (ex: Café des Habitudes)
Super cute warm café! Needed somewhere to write for an hour. Almond, chocolate biscuit was delicious. Coffee was ample & also delicious. Staff was super cheery, kind & patient. Lovely experience.

Un café super mignon & chaleureux ! J'avais besoin d'un spot pour écrire pendant une heure. Le biscuit aux amandes & au chocolat était délicieux. Le café était copieux & excellent lui aussi. Le personnel était très souriant, aimable & patient. Une expérience vraiment agréable.
Dans ce petit café où les employés sont chaleureux & sympathiques, on peut se poser pour profiter d'un breuvage chaud & de l'ambiance parfaite pour lire, travailler & étudier. C'est l'endroit parfait pour un petit solo date ou pour éclairer ses pensées. Je recommande!
Too bad for us. My girlfriend & I enjoyed the coffee, atmosphere & the baristas was very friendly. We won't be going back though. Why would you choose to alienate a whole group of potential customers because of your politics. Mixing politics with business is never a good idea.
Charger aussi cher pour du café aussi bas de gamme ?! C'est honteux & abusif ! Café tout simplement imbuvable pour un endroit qui se prétend être un'Café'. On est loin des cafés de torréfacteur 3e vague... on se rapproche plutôt du Folgers ou du Brossard... & oui la proprio parle à tue-tête & oui c'est totalement dérangeant. On a l'impression d'être chez elle en fait...
Stopped by here for a coffee. Staff was very friendly. It's small but has a very comfy atmosphere.
Ordered a latte & an americano. They did a good job with the coffee, even as someone who is very picky about coffee from years of making at home to my liking.
La personne qui m'a servi était un ange 😇! Elle m'a aider à commander parce que je ne m'y connais pas en café, personne très chaleureuse, le café était délicieux! La saveur caramel est un caramel épais délicieux 🥹 Si j'habitais dans le coin j'irais régulièrement! Livres à consulter sur place qu'on peut même achete
