Wow. Très beau café & surtout si vous voulez avoir des souvenirs du temps du Soul. Il y a un DJ qui vient vers 13h le jeudi pour faire des mixs avec vinyles. Tout simplement fantastique. Vaut vraiment le détou
It's been a while since I set foot in this coffee shop but every time I do, I feel like as if I'm sitting in my own living-room of nostalgia. As a 90's kid, a lot of memories come back. From the beautiful display of funky jazz, R&B & soul vinyl collection & the JVC radios that make you feel like as if you are a part of a'Spike Lee Joint' to the in house DJ playing hits that only my Aunt would play during family BBQ's, this coffee shop is basically a Time Machine back to the coolest decade! Not to mention, my latte was perfect!! Overall, Got Soul is a tasteful coffee shop that if the Beastie Boys were from Montreal, they would give it a major shout out! Giving this place a 5 star just ain't enough!

I'm always on the lookout for discovering new places, & this time, I stepped into this café-no wait, this museum! The Italian owner of the café (Mike),is a pleasant yet serious man, the furniture is original, & most interesting of all, there's music, a gramophone, speakers, vinyl records… all of which turn this place into a café-gallery-museum. As for the coffee-just imagine how good it must be when an Italian is the one making it! & don't forget to try the donuts & samosas too.
Pretty cool concept for a cafe. They said they do listening parties, which sounds fun.
Coffee & pastries passable & definitely not a highlight but the staff were friendly. Obviously the most unique thing about this cafe is the sound systems & vinyls & streetwear on sale. Great atmosphere, probably better at nights.

I like trying all the great coffee that montreal has to offer, I was intrigued & found a spot just outside. I tried the cortado & flat white. For. 6$ flat white i expected a little more love. The milk was just heated there wasn't any micromousse, & when I asked about it I was told that only lattes have microfoam. I must admit it has great atmosphere, I entered to try the coffee, but I was disappointed by the coffee & by the service. polite just surprised with shortness of the There is magic to good microfoam it changes the composition of a coffe - when I took the top off it just looked like heated up milk with coffee & for that I don't need to pay 6$. I have also worked as a barista. I was surprised to have been responded like that. Anyways here's what I found maybe the barista can find it useful. "A flat white is a coffee drink consisting of espresso with microfoam (steamed milk with small, fine bubbles & a glossy or velvety consistency). It generally has a higher proportion of espresso to milk than a caffè latte, & a thinner layer of microfoam than a cappuccino" I didn't try the food or by vinyl, but very nicely decorated it does have great atmosphere. Congratulations for that.

A must visit shop for any level of music enthusiast. The range of gear, rare vinyl, & ambiance is amazing. Jojo & his crew made something special there.
