Café Gentile in both DDO & Westmount is truly a standout. The food is simply amazing, Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared & high quality.
The ambiance is warm & inviting,What really elevates the experience, though, is the exceptional hospitality. Anthony, offers such a genuine & warm welcome that you instantly feel like a valued guest.
Overall, Café Gentile delivers not just incredible food, but a complete dining experience that keeps you coming back.
I recently discovered Gentile Café in DDO & I honestly can't say enough good things about it. We first went for brunch two Sundays ago, & I was so impressed that I practically begged my husband to go back that same week for dinner on Friday night.
From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is warm, inviting, & beautifully thought out. There's such a great attention to detail-not just in the décor, but even in the little touches that made my kids feel so welcome & comfortable. It really made the whole experience feel special for the entire family.
The food is absolutely incredible. Everything we tried, both at brunch & dinner, was fresh, flavorful, & clearly made with care. You can tell there's real passion behind the menu.
But what truly elevates the experience is the service. The staff is attentive, friendly, & genuinely makes you feel taken care of without being overbearing.
Going back on Friday night was exactly what I needed to unwind after a long work week-it was everything I had hoped for & more.
Gentile Café has quickly become one of our favorite spots. Highly recommend!
I live 5 min away from the DDO location, but I would drive 40 min to go the Westmount location. The slowest service Ive received in a cafe. At the end of the brunch, my family was in the car waiting for 10 min & I was standing up with my coat still waiting to pay. I also asked for a small espresso cup with frothed milk (for my 3 year old daughter to feel that she was also drinking a cappuccino) they charged me 3$ for it..
It is a nice Italian Cafe. I ordered the'Bada Bing' pizza, was very good. Thin crust, cooked properly. Was light, I ate the whole thing. They have'special' iced tea, which is great because I always drink iced tea & theirs isn't as sugary as Fuze or Brisk. I didn't order a dessert, but their capacino was very good.
Parking is in the back, can be a hassle, right at lunch. I parked in the Sami fruits, across the street.
Cafe Gentille DDO made me a nice late & cookie 🍪 the coffee ☕ is well made & the cookie is delicious, & the person who made the coffee was very polite. I love the interior design & the Sicilian flag ❤? Its a very nice place to have coffee in West Island
Finally, a cafe in the West Island with a classy & unique vibe with great service. Was served by Bella who made our night extra special; thank you Bella!
Café Gentile West Island is consistently excellent. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between modern & welcoming - great for a casual coffee, a business meeting, or a relaxed lunch or dinner. The coffee is top-tier, rich & smooth, & you can tell they take pride in every cup.
The food is just as impressive. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, & a menu that offers something for everyone What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff - welcoming, attentive, & so genuine that they make you feel right at home. A perfect blend of modern elegance & heartfelt hospitality. 🇮🇹✨ Café Gentile is a go-to. Highly recommend.
I finally made it to Café Gentile for brunch, & it was well worth the wait.
It was quite busy when I arrived, but I was seated at the bar, which worked perfectly since I was dining alone. Serena (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) was working behind the bar & was absolutely lovely - warm, personable, & always smiling. I ordered the Avocado Crostini, a Gentile Spritz, & a latte. Everything was fresh & delicious, & the latte was excellent.
Since I hadn't yet tried their dinner menu, I made a reservation & returned with my husband. Once again, the restaurant was very busy, which says a lot. We were greeted warmly by the hostess & shown to our table promptly. The atmosphere is inviting & cozy, with great music that adds to the overall experience.
Our server, Bella, was attentive without being intrusive - the perfect balance. For appetizers, I had the Artichoke Crostini & my husband ordered the special (Argentine shrimp with quinoa). Both were beautifully presented & full of flavor. For mains, I chose the Grilled Branzino, which was perfectly cooked, & my husband had the Madison Square Garden pizza, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
We ended the evening with a brownie topped with marshmallow & vanilla gelato - a sweet & satisfying finish. Thank you to Serena for the thoughtful treat.
Between Serena & Bella, the service was outstanding on both visits. Café Gentile delivers not only excellent food but also a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to return.
Highly recommended for both brunch & dinner in the West Island.
There's only one word to describe Cafe Gentile DDO, BUONISSIMO 😋. You have to try it. The food is to die for!
