Perfection! They use light roast for espresso. The cortado was pulled to perfection & espresso tasted excellent. They use Minor Figures for oat milk which makes the flavor of espresso really stand out

Recommend pour over or cortado here given quality of the beans. Friendly baristas & great service. The baked good was nice too.

Everything was so good, especially the blueberry foam cortado, it was super refreshing & you have to try it. We came in a busy Sunday, there's only one barista working there but the service was exceptional. Will come again if ever come back to Montreal!

Has to be one of the most sleek & aesthetically beautiful coffee shops in Montreal! Top quality gear everywhere, barista know what they are doing & that pourover... WOW! Incredible

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I brought some friends from out of town to Café Even & we had a great time.

We were really impressed with how friendly & knowledgeable the barista was.

What stood out most was how personal everything felt. The barista takes the time to make your coffee, bring it over, & explain how to enjoy it. It didn't feel rushed at all.

Café Even : le design est magnifique, original, & ça donne vraiment envie de prendre le temps de déguster son café sur place (& d'y revenir!).

La barista semblait vraiment investie & attentive dans la préparation des cafés, on sent le soin & la maîtrise, & c'était vraiment bon. On était un petit groupe & j'ai passé un super moment!

I love Even coffee, by far my favourite coffee in the city! The staff are always friendly & I appreciate the care that goes into each coffee they make. That being said I popped by on Sunday & the barista was all alone managing a massive line which made the wait a little long - I didn't mind, I just felt bad :( I feel like multiple staff during peak times could be beneficial!

Had to argue with the barista that I wanted a glass cup for the 18$ pour over. Dunno why he felt the need to deny my preference. He had them, there was some clean…

The cup was good, but the anaerobic stood out a bit too much. Brew method was fine, no adverse effects from water temp or contact time.

Exceptional coffee.

If you are a gear nerd you'll also appreciate the 3(!) high end grinders they have in here. Seeing that should leave you reassured they know what they're doing, but equipment alone doesn't mean it'll be good.

The menu has multiple special options, including a competition grade Nestor Lasso Ombligon.

I had just came in from the SCA expo, where I'd tasted a bunch of extremely interesting & obscure coffees, this still stood out to me. Brewed to perfection, with excellent clarity & tropical fruit notes, even with an ever-growing line at the bar the barista didn't rush my drink.

This place is a rare find in the city, a place where each drink is prepared meticulously & the customers are told they may have to wait. I'm super impressed by this café!
