Review Summary

Café Différance is widely celebrated for its exceptional quality coffee, with standouts including the latte, chai, and cold brew, alongside highly praised seasonal specialty options. The atmosphere is consistently described as cozy and pleasant, making it a favorite local spot for enjoying delicious pastries like scones and cookies. While service is noted for being quick and friendly, some visitors find certain drink portion sizes to be small or expensive, and the intimate seating space is better suited for casual visits than for working on a laptop.

Montreal has no shortage of cafe's. Some good, few are great. Dif is the ladder & exception. I ordered a short machiatto & it was balanced perfectly. Also, I noticed some freshly baked chocolate chip cookies behind the counter which was added to the order; not too sweet, chewy, & the chocolate was slightly bitter which I prefer; no notes. This place gets busy, but it's worth the wait. Staff are wonderful, knowledgeable, & take the time for the non-francophones. I will be back tomorrow for the espresso. Go, NOW!

I looked up cafe's in the neighbourhood & this one came up so decided to give it a try. The food was delicious (I tried the breakfast burrito & the chocolate chip cookie). I would certainly visit again when I'm in Montreal.
