Review Summary

Café dei Campi comes across in reviews as a warm, cozy all vegan Italian inspired cafe and bakery with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. The coffee is praised as excellent and the pastry and savory offerings are consistently described as delicious, with weekly changing desserts and a broad selection of vegan items such as focaccia, pizzette, calzone and croissants that appeal to both vegan and non vegan palates. Many reviewers call it one of the best vegan spots in Montreal, a hidden gem with good value, and a charming neighborhood favorite. The place is noted for its impressive vegan patisserie, including standout cookies and a tartelette with nuts, as well as a strong focus on fresh, homemade dishes. The vibe is described as nice and lively, though seating is sometimes limited and the space can get busy, with some days or hours limited. Overall the reviews paint Café dei Campi as a beloved destination for coffee, pastries, and Italian inspired vegan fare that is tasty, reliable, and worth a visit.

Amazing affordable food & coffee in a beautiful neighbourhood. I loved the focaccia! My husband loved the sandwich & calzone. It was tough to choose what to order because there were so many great vegan options.

My husband & I came to Café Dei Campi back in April 2024; we're both vegan, & always travel with our dogs - in fact we were in Montreal for a dog show. We picked this cafe because we saw it bench seating outside that was dog-friendly, & that it was fully vegan (we've been vegan since 2016). We had no expectations at all, but our minds were blown. We lived & travelled throughout Europe for seven years - mostly we were not vegan during these years - & the pastries at Café Dei Campi rival the very best we've had in Europe! They gave us a taste of our European past, & our gastronomic past as well - we had triple check that we were in fact eating at a fully vegan cafe. Don't get me wrong, there are many incredible vegan options out there & we've been able to check out places in Calgary, Vancouver, Victoria, Toronto, & all over the USA since moving back to Canada in 2018 - but until we came to Montreal & Café Dei Campi we hadn't been able to find pastries that tasted just EXACTLY like the nonvegan version. Now, we accept the burden & blessing of these thibgs existing at Café Dei Campi, & for us that means that we now regularly commute three hours there - & three hours back - just to get our fix. Thank you for existing Café Dei Campi, next step is to please spread you craft!

Amazing vegan cafe with lots of tasty options & great service. It would be great to have some kind of signage at the door or close to the dishes to confirm it is vegan menu.

I've been wanting to try this fully vegan Italian bakery for years. This place was packed when I came on Sunday morning, & I understand why! The almond croissant was absolutely delicious - flaky & crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, generously filled with almond paste. It was well worth the 5$ & the long line. In addition to traditional Italian pastries & coffee, they also offer savory options such as pizzas, focaccia, calzones, soup, & sandwiches. I'll definitely be back with family & friends to try out some other items - the bombolone looked amazing as well. Seating is very limited, so you may need to get takeout if you come during a busy time.
