An amazing little cafe only open on Fridays. Saturdays, & Sundays.
Fantastic friendly service matched with outstanding soup, snacks, both sweet & savory, as well as coffee, tea, & hot chocolate with either soy, oat, or almond milk.
While it's a miracle that it's a vegan cafe, it's top notch for any type of cafe.
If you can get here, you will be amply rewarded!
2nd visit update:
We got all different things this time & they are at least as excellent. I am quite confident that this is the best bakery. I've been to outside of Italy & even better than most there. There must be magicians & wizards in the kitchen, there's no other explanation.
Given the superior quality & taste of the products, the weekly menu changes, the warm & wonderful service, & that it's all vegan, I declare Cafe Dei Campi the best bakery in the world!
So far the best bakery in Montreal. I love how everything is 100% vegan! The chocolate croissant was perfectly flaky with high quality chocolate inside, mini pizzas were delicious & my favorite was the chocolate ravioli cookies. This place is busy, popular, & cozy. We were able to get a seat by the window but there isn't much seating. I can't wait to go again the next time I'm in Montreal.
One of the best vegan bakery I have ever experienced. Staff is extremely courteous & caring.
The best vegan bakery in Canada! Absolutely phenomenal baked goods. We have never had a bad experience here. Their products change weekly. My personal favourites are the brioche salée, brioche sucrée à l'orange, almond croissant, strawberry tart, the white pizza. We live out of town & make the 5 hour round trip to Montreal once in a while just for their baked goods. They have really good espresso too.
I've been wanting to try this fully vegan Italian bakery for years. This place was packed when I came on Sunday morning, & I understand why! The almond croissant was absolutely delicious - flaky & crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, generously filled with almond paste. It was well worth the 5$ & the long line. In addition to traditional Italian pastries & coffee, they also offer savory options such as pizzas, focaccia, calzones, soup, & sandwiches. I'll definitely be back with family & friends to try out some other items - the bombolone looked amazing as well. Seating is very limited, so you may need to get takeout if you come during a busy time.
