Many many thanks to all the staff at Expresso Sports for saving my Canadian Ski Marathon experience for the second time! I skied into a CSM checkpoint this weekend with one working ski, sure my whole weekend was finished before it started. The staff at Expresso Sports found an orphaned ski that fit me & let me borrow it for the weekend. In their spare time, they took my broken ski & fixed it up & returned to me looking like new at the end. This is the second time at the marathon they saved me. The first time I just made the final 3:15 cut off by seconds, skied in the final section with no wax left on the my skis, & Gilles (sp?), a kind gentle man with a large wonderful beard, was waiting for me on the other side of the check point with a box of wax & worked like hell to get a coat of wax on my frozen skis so I could ski safety to the end. I mentioned this story to other skiers at the marathon & the stories started to pour out about the number of times the staff at the Expresso Sports saved their marathon by lending them equipment & fixing up their broken gear. Apparently, Expresso Sports has been a permeant fixture at the Canadian Ski Marathon for years, saving countless number of skiers. On behalf of all the skiers at the Canadian Ski Marathon, I want to profusely thank all the staff at Expresso Sports for their years of selfless service at the Canadian Ski Marathon. Your impact has been tremendous!! Looking forward to meeting Luc, Gilles, & the entire staff again at their store in St. Adele & thank them in person! Morrie Manolson Canadian Ski Ambassador Bib#445
