Refuge préférée de la gauche politique montréalaise. Impossible de ne pas penser politique au Café Cherrier avec la photo de René Lévesque derrière le grand bar. On y mange bien & le service est impéccable. Ici ne prononcez pas les noms Poilièvre, Harper, Trump, Milei ou Meloni, vous allez vous faire regarder de travers par les gens aux tables voisines. Ajouter plutôt à vos conversations les noms Nadeau-Dubois, Obama, Maduro, Castro, Allende & Lévesque, ça passera mieux. Ça demeure un endroit, tout de même assez dispendieux.

On a été placé.es rapidement mais le délais pour prendre notre commande était un peu long & surtout pas dans l'ordre d'arrivée.. Donc c'est un peu frustrant de voir des personnes arrivées après se faire servir avant. Mais surtout pour le standing un peu class, un pain doré à l'érable à 16$ (c'est du pain, pas un morceau de viande), qui était limite brûlé mais surtout ne goûtait pas l'érable (le'brûlé' l'emportait peut être...) au point que j'ai du demander un peu plus de sirop d'érable, qui m'a été facturé 3.75$, ça, c'est pas classe (meme dans les dinner le pot de sirop est offert avec le sucre & le sel). Plus d'option vegan please, on est à Montréal quand même... La encore, y'a des brunch moins fancy qui ont plus d'options 😉 Pour l'ambiance & la chaleur, un ventilateur pour un peu d'air sur le terrasse serait une bonne idée.

We were seated in the very empty restaurant at 2:00, we then sat waiting for waters or a server to come over for 20 minutes. We watched the staff chatting at the bar this whole time. No wait staff came in 20 minutes so we left. Very hot in here as well & the Benny not on the menu. Prices are very high. Disappointing.

Terrasse très sympa, donne un peu l'impression d'être en France. La nourriture est bonne & change de ce qu'on peut trouver habituellement, point bonus pour le boudin noir aux pommes ! Très très bon ! Par contre je trouve que les portions sont vraiment petites pour le prix. Une amie a prit des cannellonis .. il y en avait 3 ! Elle a du prendre une assiette de frites pour compenser... Service au top !
