Review Summary

Café Cherrier is widely regarded as a long-standing Montreal institution, cherished by many for its classic French bistro atmosphere, consistently pleasant terrace, and reliable menu offerings like steak frites, onion soup, and brunch staples. While many patrons praise the attentive, professional service and authentic Parisian vibe, experiences remain notably mixed; some diners enjoy excellent, high-quality meals and professional interactions, while others report issues with inconsistent food preparation, occasionally inattentive service, smaller portion sizes, and excessive noise levels. Despite varying opinions on recent value and the occasional unavailability of menu items, the restaurant continues to draw loyal regulars who appreciate its charm, location, and overall experience, even if some believe it faces challenges in maintaining its historical consistency.

As always a « sure bet » for a Sunday brunch !!! Service was friendly & efficient. It can get pretty crowded on weekends so make sure you reserve in advance. Café Cherrier is a must if you're visiting or Montrealers alike.
