Cozy place with very cute cats! Very nice place for a date, to come to get some work done, or to simply relax. You may or may not leave with a new feline companion :]

The cats are very friendly & playful. It is also very evident that they are well cared for by staff. I am going to miss these cats a lot.

I enjoyed the food. Soup was cozy & the chia seed pudding had a fun texture. I also appreciate the hand-drawn cat art that is on the takeout cup lids :)

At this cafe, you just pay for food/drink & you get to play with the cats during the duration of your stay. I am glad that there are still cat cafes out there that don't make you pay so much to play with the cats. The old cat cafes in Toronto used to operate the same way but all the current ones make you pay a certain amount to just play with the cats only (& it's timed). We need more cat cafes like Café Chato.

I had an awesome experience at Café Chato. The staff was incredibly sweet, & the atmosphere was amazing. The cats are lovely & very well taken care of, & their environment is really nice. Drinks are well-priced & tasty. In the bathroom, there was an incredibly cute guard, a cat that seemed to distract everyone 🥰. I will definitely return here before leaving Montreal, & it's definitely a great place for locals to study, work, or catch up with friends as well. The inside is pretty spacious. I would definitely recommend this place! 😁

Awesome cute fantastic place to be at!😻 Nice staffs, cute kitties & affordable drinks. I think it's also very thoughtful of them for giving out free pads in the toilet.

I had an amazing drink (ananas-litchi Italian soda) & then I knocked my amazing drink all over the floor. The staff were so sweet about it even though I was crushed by the burden of existential embarassement. I tried every possible cat cafe in Montreal & this one is my go-to! Lovely cats, lovely staff, lovely place, lovely everything!

I adore this place, it's wonderful. The food & drinks are good & the cats are sweet & adorable. Staff is amazing. My only note is your clothes will smell of food & such after coming here sadly.

Best place in the world.

Warm atmosphere. One of the only cafes in Montreal that still has reasonable prices for their tasty food & drinks. Cats & happiness :)

2026/03/04: Drinks were good. Not that many cats - as per the wall, there were 4 on site. Only 2 were'friendly' & seeking to be pet. Two others were recently adopted out so perhaps it's more occupied with cats at other times? The floor needs to be swept more often, it was only an hour after opening & there were little bits of litter box bits all over.

It was an experience, but not as fun as all the Japanese cat cafe videos I've watched on YouTube made it look like lol.

The cats are so well taken care of here, it shows in the way they love people & how affectionate they are. They have structures all over the walls for the cats to walk on, & their drinks & coffees are great & decent prices.
Will definitely come back because the kitties are so cute!
