Right from cobblestone flooring to pale ochre walls, a balcony & beautiful lamps/ chandeliers. Than comes the great coffee. The Lebanese know their craft & this doesn't disappoint at all. Best flat white in town. A perfect pit stop for your daily caffeine need.View more
Im always a fan of places that are a cafe & also a bar. Cafes naturally close in the afternoon & bars start then so it makes a lot of sense to use the same space for both. Places like this usually have a good mix in their atmosphere since it needs to work for both. This one has a vary italain style with walls that look like you are walking down a old city & warm lighting to match it. The coffee itself was nice & earthy & when we came back the esspresso martini had a similar earthy & creamy flavor. Overall a nice little coffee shop.View more
I was the first customer of the day, & what a great way to start my day. Great coffee. Pleasant & relaxing vibe. Friendly & talented staff. There was a big brand cafe across the street. I made the right choice. Keep up the great work!View more
This coffee shop has a quiet, inviting atmosphere, enhanced by its antique-style decor-wooden furniture, vintage details, & soft lighting give it a timeless feel. It's a comfortable place to sit for a while, whether you're reading, working, or meeting someone. The coffee is smooth & well-prepared, with enough variety to suit different tastes. They also offer a good selection of sweet & savory food-fresh pastries, sandwiches, & small meals that pair nicely with the drinks. A steady, dependable place if you appreciate a classic setting with quality offeringsView more
Great little place with a nice city view!
Update, a local told me about this place, now this is my'go-to' place for coffee & a light meal! Love it!View more
We particularly enjoyed the refreshing Black Lemonade & the piquant Bloody Spicy Orange.
They also have a list of new beers & wines available that we are eager to try, as well as smoothies, lattes, coffee, sandwiches, salads, pastries, & cakes!
Located in downtown Montreal, it has a very unique interior design reminiscent of European alleys & a full balcony above the counter doubling as a glass rack.
The wonderful solarium-style windows offer not only constant rays but also a view of the city's core. One of the rare cafés in Montreal to be open in the evening & selling alcohol. Its comfortable atmosphere & long list of delicious items to choose from make it a great option for a quick stop or a more relaxed occasion.View more
Great ambience served with good coffee & amazing food. Loved the tiramisu & plain croissantView more
Amazing coffee shop with great service & beautiful atmosphereView more
Café Castle has such a relaxed, cozy vibe - the kind of place you can sit for hours without noticing the time pass. The coffee is great, the atmosphere is peaceful, & everything just feels easy. Hiba & Talia were lovely - friendly, thoughtful, & made the whole experience feel even more comfortable. It's rare to find a spot that gets both the vibe & the service just right. Will definitely be coming back.View more
I loved my experience at Café Castel! The vibe was cozy, the coffee was great, & the service made everything even better. Huge shoutout to Hiba, Talal, & Talia they were all so kind & welcoming. Definitely coming back soon!View more
Definitely one of the best coffee shops in Montreal! I love the decoration, the great coffee & the friendly service. Creates the perfect vibe for a coffee outing!View more
Good coffee with great service. This is my go to cafe.View more
Salmon bagel is outstanding, the coffee is artisanal which i like 👍 heard they are introducing new items to the menu ,excited to see what they will come up with😍View more
One of my favorite cafes in the city! The staff are always warm & friendly, over time they treat you like a friend 😁
The pastries & sandwiches are fresh & delicious, & the coffee never disappoints, they have decaf coffee so you can sleep peacefully at night 😆.
I also love the big windows perfect for relaxing & watching the street.
A cozy spot I always look forward to visiting.View more
It seems that coffee quality improved a lot! Highly recommended!View more
Pretty good coffee for a non-speciality coffee shop. I had their cinammon buns once & it was not a good experience. Probably a couple days old, very dry & quite tasteless. I have heard their sandwiches are good but haven't tried any. Pretty expensive prices overall.View more
Dramatic deterioration in the quality of coffee. It used to be such a lovely spot. Also saw a cockroach on the counter...View more
It's a lovely spot. Cute & cozy, it feels like Europe! Delicious coffee, yummy sandwiches, & dessert. The three-cheese pizza features bleu cheese as one of the three cheeses. That was a little strong for me on pizza-I would not recommend it. I definitely would go back.View more
THIS PLACE NAILS IT WITH THEIR COFFEE!!! The beans are super fresh, & you can really taste the difference. Whether you're into espresso or a mocha, the flavors are always rich & with just the right kick. No harsh aftertaste, just clean, delicious coffee every time. The service is friendly & quick, & the pastries are the perfect complement to your brew. Highly recommend if you're serious about your coffee☕️❤️View more
Pastries were really dry & the coffee wasn't good it just tasted like water... also there's not much space & the customer service was rushedView more
We visited this cafe in January 2024. The weather was very cold & the cafe was cozy & warm. The owner was very attentive & nice man. We came back here again in October with warm memories of a huge cake in January, & are happy to visit again. Really cozy cafe in the center of Montreal, with delicious coffee, cake & croissant. Will definitely come back again, your guests from Calgary, Germany & Ukraine ☺️View more
Although the atmosphere was very good, the quality of coffee was horrible! We got a latte & a Mocha, they barely had coffee taste in it, it was like we were having hot milk & milk chocolate! So disappointed! Never go againView more
The place is constantly crowded, there is no sense of where to go when ordering. Nothing's labeled. The food is borderline decent, but nothing extraordinary. The tables are worn out, the cutlery is dirty. I ordered a plain croissant with ham, cheese, & lettuce. & on another occasion, an egg bagel, which was plain with next to no extra ingredients. They place the sandwiches on a Forman type grill, the presentation is lackluster, I might as well make them at home for I'm paying for. Not to mention the coffee, nearly $4 for low quality coffee, in mugs that spill whenever you drink. I went twice because I was with a group but I would never willingly go again on my own.View more
Perfect coffee/breakfast place ive ever had in montreal. You can see the view of the montreal streets. I ordered the café mocha & it was perfect. Only bad thing was that 5 drinks, 5 danishes were 60 dollars total with tip. Although its pretty expensive you must try!View more
I love having cafe latte over there, it is strong, creamy, plus one of their workers if you be lucky & be his shift ,he does a beautiful graphic on lattes that you can enjoy your cold day with a nice coffee!View more
Always go there when I'm around, love the vibe & the coffee.View more
The only place open early - but the service & the coffee is great, & the food is consistently good.View more
