They charge $12 for just two pancakes & they were, no hyperbole, the worst pancakes our group has ever had. Tasted like playdough or old cake bread rather than soft or fluffy.Voir plus

Great atmosphere, really loved their salmon bagel! They used Fairmount bagels which made it extra memorable - also ordered a really fluffy & light slice of their cake & a fruit juice mix.

Café Magnolia is cool! Went there for brunch one morning & couldn't have asked for a better experience. The food was great: the avocado toast was perfectly portioned & tastefully paired with a fresh salad. The service & atmosphere were also great. It really felt like a place you wanted to take your time at. Highly recommend!Voir plus

Nous avons apprécié l'ambiance du restaurant & surtout le service & la gentillesse débordante de Tanita, la serveuse.

The service was very friendly but wait for food to be served was quite long.
I understand that there was a group of 6 ahead of me but thankfully me & friend had a lot to catch up on or the wait was a bit unbearable.
I would like to note, I had asked my leftover brunch for take out. Unfortunately (& fortunately) my waitress told me they had accidentally dropped it on the floor so they couldn't pack it...
I didn't say anything on the spot, but I'd like to suggest that your establishment could offer something as a gesture next time as I couldn't have eaten it as my snack. Sadly, it left a bad impression overall.Voir plus

After months of admiring this cafe from the outside, I finally decided to try it, & I was blown away. The atmosphere is stunning, the service is excellent, & the coffee is fantastic. Don't go there, bad bad bad. One of the worst service I've got in my life.

TLDR: Their pastries are served frozen; I wouldn't go back.
We came across this café on a walk & decided to stop in since the decor was cute & it had good reviews. We ordered a slice of carrot cake (which was quite pricey) & a drink. We took a table & sat down. When we started eating, we realized the cake was still frozen & rock hard, with ice inside. Since we had already paid for it, we tried cutting it into small pieces & waiting for it to thaw.
We debated whether to say anything but eventually decided to mention it. When we told them (the waiter &/or owner) that the cake was frozen, their explanation was as follows:'All our pastries, including croissants & cakes, arrive frozen. You need to leave them at room temperature to defrost.' We were never informed that we had to wait before eating it, they never warmed it up, nor did we have the time to sit around for it to thaw completely. I would think a café would serve their pastries ready to eat.
Overall, I'd rather go to a café where pastries are ready to eat when served.Voir plus
