Had the quiche & the croque monsieur, both were very good. Appreciated that the croque monsieur was not greasy, the bread was also very good. For dessert we had a brownie & date square, brownie was excellent but the date square a bit pasty (unusual texture but perhaps it was gluten free?). Coffees were also good. Service was quite slow even though we ordered at the counter right of way. Terrace is very nice & in good condition for Montreal sidewalk terrace standards.
If you're going there to work, don't.
Computers & books are not allowed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Even though my friend & I were there from 9 to 10 a.m., one of the girls working there (I'm pretty sure she was the manager) made several comments about how she shouldn't allow us to work there. She also asked us to move to the tables outside so we wouldn't take up space inside the café.
If I'm already paying more than $20 for coffee & pastries, & I'm working during the hours when it is allowed, why am I being asked to move?
Overall, I think the brunch & food are good, based on the other reviews I've seen. However, I was deeply disappointed by the way the staff treated us.
Today when i get to the place i asked if was fine to use my pc, i was only going to stay for 1h 30, they told me that it was fine as long as i dont stay until 11, so we ordered two coffees & croissants & start to work, when was about 9am the manager (i think) asked my friend & i if we could leave because we were using two tables, we were concern about the treat of the manager, we both were costumers so it doesnt make sense about that treat.
The food was good but the manager's treat is concerning
One of the best coffee shop in the area. Would definitely recommend
The staff is extremely confused.... The table was all sticky. I told one of the staff it was sticky & asked her for a rag so I could wipe it down. She showed up with a dry rag to just pick up crumbs... Ordered a chaï, but a hibiscus tea was brought. The waitress took it back & came back with the proper tea but forgot to put water in the tea kettle... The Avocado toast was very bad. Stale bread, hard unripe avocado. Only ate half. Coffee was okay. Will not be going back, the only thing they got going is that it's a cute location.
Dirty , sticky tables . Coffee came cold after waiting 10 min . Staff is oblivious. What a rapid decline from when first open
Let's start with the bad the coffee is horrible for a place like this. Please invest into some better coffee or train your barista to give out coffee that's not burning hot like at McDonald's. Now for the rest the desserts are tasty.
Delicious coffee & croissant. Gen Z servers so service was as we'd except Gen Z to be.
