In a word, exquisite! Buvette Pastek is a true gem in the heart of Old Montreal, centrally located on rue St Paul. Beautiful, scrumptious dishes, reasonably priced & generous apportioned are served well & in a very comfy, airy, & bright decor. We were very well cared for, especially by the delightful Kathleen & our charming barista Brandon, as well as the other members of the service team. Of note were the avocado toast (truly the best I've ever had in a restaurant) & the gravlax (admittedly even better than my own homemade version). Everything sampled was truly exceptional & we were treated very, very well & never made to feel rushed, in spite of the dining room being noticeably busy. They have a lovely outdoor patio (terrasse) that looks very inviting. If you're looking for a sure win, check out this elegant & yet unpretentious restaurant for a wonderful experience of delicious food & coffee!

Food: Delicious! Best food in Montreal so far. Service: Staff is great & welcoming, helped us a lot with the menu however it did feel like two waiters were fighting to have our table. Atmosphere: Lovely, but we were sat next to the kitchen staff a bit further then with the other tables so less convenient in that way
This is not a place for locals. Coffee is nespresso quality, service is a little weird (like will drop the bill on your table & leave or won't bring forks/spoons with the food, etc) & food is DEFINITELY not "Montreal good". Portions are also on the smaller end. It's a hotel lobby type place that pretends to be a hip restaurant.
Nous avons pris un brunch. Lorsque le menu indique assiette brunch patate XXL, on s'attend à avoir une quantité de nourriture correcte. Il y avait 4 petits morceaux de pomme de terre, une demi saucisse... Nous somme sortis de table la faim au ventre. C'était bon, mais il n'y avait rien dans l'assiette

Beautiful bar to stop for a drink & snack while shopping in the area. The staff is attentive, & the appetizers are delicious...I really enjoyed the potatoes & cheese board.
Nourriture délicieuse, excellent service, tres bonne ambiance & shoutout au serveur qui m'a couru après dehors l'autre bord de la rue pour me donner mon cell que j'avais oublié! Merci énormément
