Today, after my workout & beginning to catch-up on my routines, & as traditionally medium to long distance runners & triathletes do, I was craving a flat white, iykyk 😉 I had the option of just going back home & do as every morning I do... Use my faithful Venus Moka espresso maker & prepares my own flat white, when in a whim of inspiration I recalled that I had seen a charming little dessert 🍪 🍰 shop & I recalled from a quick glance that I had seen a gorgeous Italian espresso machine, I also recalled the elegant glass refrigerated showcase & the gorgeous white granite counters, & as I know what it takes to run a business, I decided that this morning I was going to support this branded local venue... Buono bites!
I arrived 10 minutes before the opening hour, & as I was distracted I tried to open the door to find it embarrassingly, locked 😅 but to my surprise there was a young woman diligently preparing for the day ahead & she rushed to open & immediately welcomed me, & asked what I wanted, I proceeded to questions her about their business & also ordered my flat white.
Long story short I found myself having an amazing conversations with Alessandro who turned out to be the husband of Melissa, the diligent young woman that warmly welcomed me, we had a lengthy conversation while I enjoyed an unctuous, creamy, aromatic flat white, soft not bitter one of the very best coffees that I've had, prepared personally by Melissa.
I bought an assorted dozen of their mini cheese cakes, as stated on their website, every month they flip the menu, which is so cool 😎 my variety included strawberry, birthday cake, chocolate, lemon, caramel popcorn & one that I ate so fast that I don't recall what it was 😂, but ALL of them were absolutely delicious 😋.
When I was at the shop I noticed larger versions of the same cakes, & also cookies! With a few assorted varieties, the care & manicured environment is evident from the presentation to the quality of everything prepared. My instinct served me right once again! W! Also the cakes were not super sweet just the right amount of sweetness which helped enhance the rich & smooth flavors.
If you're in Monkland village make sure to pay Melissa & Alessandro a visit & enjoy awesome coffee & Italian style sweet treats.

Beautiful indoor space, nice outdoor shady seating, fancy restrooms. Cheesecake bites were delicious. Biscotti & cookies very sweet & fresh. Good dark roast espresso Coffee.
