Allé un mardi soir. Pas bruyant même si c'était presque plein. Pas eu besoin de réserver. Pas cher. 53 $ pour 2 (incluant tips & taxes), c'était entrée & plat.
During my stay in Montreal, I ate at Breizh café twice. The first time, I was quite impressed with the food. Breizh café has a course menu where I can choose a starter, savory, & sweet crepe for $27. I ordered the soup du jour, which was a parsnip vegetable soup, the smoked salmon, swiss cheese, & spinach crepe, & the Belgian chocolate crepe. The soup du jour was hearty & flavorful. It was hands down one of the best vegetable soups I've had. The smoked salmon, swiss, & spinach crepe came in a buckwheat crepe, which had a good texture to it. Lastly, the Belgian chocolate crepe was quite sweet & rich for my liking, but the first few bites were still enjoyable. Because of my enjoyable first experience, I decided to go back a second time. This time, the restaurant was busy & looked heavily understaffed. It was a Saturday so I was confused as to why it was understaffed. That being said, I waited for 20 minutes before I had my order taken. When our waiter finally came, I ordered the French Onion Soup, the tomato & goat cheese crepe, & the apple cinnamon dessert crepe. Then I waited 30 minutes for the French onion soup alone, 40 more minutes for the savory crepe & another 30 more minutes for the dessert crepe following the savory crepe. In addition, our waiter never cared to check on our table & just ignored us every time he walked past. Regarding the food, the French onion soup was salty & watery but bland in terms of flavor from the beef stock & onions. It was one of the more mediocre French onion soups I've had, & I'd expect much better from a creperie in Montreal. The tomato & goat cheese buckwheat crepe was bland, dry & cold, as if it was sitting in the pass for an extended period of time, & the apple cinnamon crepe also came cold. Overall, my second visit to Breizh café consisted of long wait times & inconsistent food, & thus was a major disappointment. It was evident that the restaurant being understaffed on a Saturday affected both customer service & quality control.
The waitress is weird & unpolite. I'ts a big''no no''. I won't come back.
Crepe was okay not great & the flan dessert was stale. Okay food nothing great. Crepe is much better from Quebec City.
Typical crêperie that offers a nice set of crepes & meals with a "table d'hôtes" pretty convenient. Prices are good too. A place to visit.
My kids & I wanted some authentic French crepes & then we strike gold with this place everything was made from scratch they had amazing coffee cappuccino french onion soup the Crepes were insane they had Savory & sweet I had a flambe rum personally.
We loved Breizh cafe, the food was Incredible! They have a great authentic menu, a warm & cozy ambiance & the prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be back soon!
Pour les nostalgiques des galettes & crêpes bretonnes : le patron est français. Nous nous sommes régalés.
