The food is not what it used to be anymore. we had ordered the steak & the beef tartare..it was very basic. not alot of taste. the service was okay .. a little bit of wait for a none busy lunch time.

Tres beau restaurant avec de la nourriture & un service impeccable j'y suis allé un midi de semaine & les plat sont arrivés rapidement & la qualité était au rendez-vous.
La Brasserie Bernard est un très beau restaurant & ça paraît qu'on a pas lésiné sur le décoration intérieure, une très belle inspiration classique sur ce que dois avoir l'air une brasserie de style parisienne.
On a probablement également dépassé le budget décoration parce que ça se reflète dans des prix bien plus élevés que la moyenne, & en bout de ligne, c'est ce qui rend l'expérience beaucoup trop onéreuse pour ce qu'on mange.
Brasserie Bernard propose des plats simples mais à des prix démesurés.
Un fish & chips à $31? Les frites sont meilleures à La Poule Mouillée ou chez Joyo & le poisson, ben, c'est un poisson frit. Rien de spécial.
Les pétoncles sont grillées dans la poêle, très simple comme exécution & à $8 la pétoncle, ça fait cher la pétoncle pour un minimum de travail en cuisine. La carte des vins passe très rapidement les $100 la bouteille alors on s'est ramassé une facture de $250 avec taxes, vin & service …pour 2 personnes.
Belle place, prix excessifs, rapport qualité/prix déficient.
Pour clientèle qui passe ça sur le compte de dépenses de la compagnie.

Typical French bistro, way overpriced for the quality & quantity of the food.
The steak undercooked for a medium rare & VERY chewy, the day special tagliatelle was underseasoned with 2 pieces of lobster cost $46, unimpressed. The full portion of the salmon tartare, while good, seemed like a thinner wider spread half portion, insulting, the endive salad had very little dressing & really pitiful amount of bleu cheese...
By no means bad, but way overpriced & the service saved the day. What's interesting is that a French bistro is supposed to be the opposite, good food, relatively affordable price & bad service
Une valeur sure á Outremont! Brasserie de type française, les plats sont bons, le top c'est les moules frites & la terrasse l'été dans la rue piétonnisée. J'ai choisi aujourd'hui le tartare de saumon qui était très bon même s'il y avait un potentiel pour un petit peu plus de générosité.
Mon amie a pris la saucisse purée. La Pavlova aux pommes en dessert était un délice.

The food is amazing & the atmosphere is great. The only downside is that they no longer take some credit cards which they used to accept, which came to a little surprise when some of mine got declined with no previous warning. You would expect that this would be mentionned prior to ordering should someone not have alternative means to cover the bill.
Belle découverte. Nous étions deux. Service très agréable & efficace. Pieuvre copieuse, accompagnée de polenta, goûteuse. & le pressé de boudin était succulent, avec un accompagnement très bon & original. Pavlova très bonne, un peu plus de réduction de vin aurait été bienvenue ! Seul regret, l'ambiance de salle très bruyante.
