The Holder brothers welcome you to their beautiful Brasserie Bernard for a pleasant evening or a friendly lunch. This place has become a classic on Bernard Street in the beautiful Outremont district; the neighbourhood’s charm contributes greatly to the charm of the restaurant. Try their fine but unpretentious European cuisine, in a warm, elegant and vibrant atmosphere
Overall Brasserie Bernard earns praise for its warm Parisian brasserie vibe, comfortable and spacious setting, attentive and friendly service, and a varied menu that delivers well executed classics such as moules frites, onion soup, ravioli, duck confit and steak frites, with desserts like pavlova and pudding chomeur also mentioned; the ambiance and wine list are frequently highlighted and the place is described as lively yet suitable for couples, groups or special occasions, though a few reviews note noise levels and occasional slower service when busy and a few dishes that lack salt balance or are priced high for the portion; many guests say they would return, recommend Brasserie Bernard, and consider it a top French bistro experience in Montreal
A very spirited, accommodating restaurant with excellent meals & service. Winter or summer, we always look forward to our Brasserie Bernard experience - Connie
Bouffe très très ordinaire.... la pieuvre était misérable en entrée.
Le reste correct.
Le service impeccable. Vous avez des problèmes en cuisine c'est clair.
This fine restaurant lived up to its already-established reputation. The service was perfect (never too invasive but top professional, the quality of the food was sublime as was the wine choice. Absolutely nothing was out of place. Will return without a doubt.
Every dish was delicious & when I looked around the restaurant, all plates were equally enticing. I wish there was a restaurant like this in my neighborhood!
