I have lived in the neighbourhood for 25 years & have been here several times since it opened. Very disappointed this time around. I was entertaining an American friend & they have no English menus. The food was not great & our waiter basically forgot about us & I had to wait 20 minutes to order another glass of wine. The cocktails were not that great either. Maybe if we spoke French, which I do, we would have been served better. Or maybe the restaurant is not that great any more. Certainly not going back & it's off my recommend list.

Condescending Service Ruined the Evening

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable.

Our bill was approximately $450. When I attempted to pay by tap, the transaction did not go through. I calmly explained that I regularly use tap payments for amounts higher than this. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the waiter immediately responded with a condescending remark:'Je ne sais pas où vous mangez généralement, monsieur, mais ça ne fonctionne pas.' The implication was obvious & insulting.

Rather than assisting a customer with a routine payment issue, the waiter chose to make unnecessary comments that were dismissive & disrespectful.

What made the situation even more disturbing were remarks made during the evening that we perceived as racist & antisemitic.

Such comments have absolutely no place in a restaurant, especially one positioning itself as a high-end establishment.

I left feeling disrespected & disappointed, & I would not recommend this establishment based on the service we received.
