My fish & chips were subpar but they exchanged it for better cooked fish . Wouldn't be my first choice but hey the frites were fabulous! & my friend's poulet provençal was delicious she said.

Service beaucoup trop empressée! La serveuse venait nous voir à chaque quatre minutes pour savoir si nous étions prêts à commander & nous avons été servis à pleine cinq minutes après avoir commandé notre plat. Nous avons
vérifié & notre table n'était pas réservée pour un second service... Ce service précipité a hélas teinté négativement notre soirée, même si la nourriture était excellente. Dommage.

A few weeks ago we had a nice experience, & I wrote a very positive review. This past weekend we had dinner there again with a friend but it was kind of disappointing. Service lacked coordination & was very slow. The manager apologized, which we appreciated. However, the salmon dish wasn't as good & had shrunk, the asparagus was almost invisible. Interaction with the waiter was so so. The bill was high for a not so good experience. I'm sorry but I don't think we'll be back.
Sans aucun doute un des meilleurs restaurants à MTL en ce moment. L'établissement dégage la passion culinaire & l'art de recevoir. De la cuisine, en passant par le service jusqu'au bar, absolument tout est fait avec la plus grande attention. La personne qui nous a accueilli & nous a conduit à notre table était très sympathique, très grand choix de vins, la nourriture était excellente, notre serveur était super sympa, le seul problème c'est que les tables sont très proches, à part ça tout. c'était parfait. Je recommande

One of my favourite restaurants in the city! Nestled just outside the business of downtown Montreal in the corner of Outremont is this gem of a restaurant (parking is certainly more accessible than going downtown! ) The ambiance is beautiful & the service is friendly, professional & efficient. As a huge fan of seafood I've indulged in some of the most appreciated dishes I have come by: seabass, salmon, oysters & in true brasserie style, their delicious fish & chips (& considering the Mile End has several incredible seafood spots this is saying alot!) As a professional cheesemonger I must also mention their cheese selection is nice. Local cheeses from Quebec & usually an offering of a variety of milks; I was proud to see Hercule from Laiterie Charlevoix (cow milk) & as well as Pave de L'Atelier (one of the artisanal goat cheese makers in St Elizabeth de Warwick) Long story short, indulge at this amazing restaurant!

Le niveau sonore était plus élevé que ce à quoi je m'attendais : j'ai choisi ce resterait parce qu'il était justement sur la liste des restos où on peut s'entendre de Tastet.

There was a small mix up with my order (I had asked for a medium-rare steak with no sauce & instead received a medium-well to well done one with sauce). The waiters were very kind, apologized profusely & quickly got the correct dish done. Very much appreciated:)
