The Holder brothers welcome you to their beautiful Brasserie Bernard for a pleasant evening or a friendly lunch. This place has become a classic on Bernard Street in the beautiful Outremont district; the neighbourhood’s charm contributes greatly to the charm of the restaurant. Try their fine but unpretentious European cuisine, in a warm, elegant and vibrant atmosphere
Overall Brasserie Bernard earns praise for its warm Parisian brasserie vibe, comfortable and spacious setting, attentive and friendly service, and a varied menu that delivers well executed classics such as moules frites, onion soup, ravioli, duck confit and steak frites, with desserts like pavlova and pudding chomeur also mentioned; the ambiance and wine list are frequently highlighted and the place is described as lively yet suitable for couples, groups or special occasions, though a few reviews note noise levels and occasional slower service when busy and a few dishes that lack salt balance or are priced high for the portion; many guests say they would return, recommend Brasserie Bernard, and consider it a top French bistro experience in Montreal

We had a delightful meal. The service was excellent, as usual. However, we were a bit disappointed in the fact that we were politely asked to vacate our table after two hours. We were a party of three (3) which, by your own policy, should have allowed us 2-1/2 hours. I would suggest that the Brasserie should either honor their policy or change it to reflect their desires. Again, we enjoyed our meal & will be returning.
Hi mister Blossom, you are absolutely right. My mistake! I've forgot to change messages! We have a policy for the reservation which is 2.5 hours during the week and for the evenings, however we've noticed that for the brunch people were staying less in general. I'm really sorry that you had to experience that and I have rectified our policy. Thank you for your kindness and hope to see you back.
Excellente nourriture.
