Ils ont été accommodants alors que nos amis nous rejoignaient pour un verre avec leur bébé dans sa poussette (un bébé tranquille & charmant, il faut bien le dire). La place était comble, mais jamais nous n'avons senti que nous dérangions.
Nos plats étaient comme nous les souhaitions & je le répète, le service est impeccable chez les Holders.
Une soirée parfaite dans cette brasserie ! Tout était au rendez-vous : des plats excellents, faits maison avec des produits québécois de qualité, une présentation soignée & gourmande. Le lieu est absolument ravissant, chaleureux & plein de charme. Le service a été irréprochable : le maître d'hôtel très professionnel & attentionné, & notre serveur tout simplement parfait ! Nous nous sommes régalés avec un tartare de boeuf, une soupe à l'oignon, une saucisse-purée, une cuisse de canard confite avec sa délicieuse sauce à l'abricot, sans oublier les profiteroles & la crème brûlée pour finir en beauté. Nous recommandons à 1000 %, les yeux fermés !
The service was immaculate! We loved our server. Unfortunately I never got her name. But she was AMAZING! The food was delicious. We loved the ambiance! I recommend it 100%!
We thoroughly enjoyed getting away from tourists & digging into an excellent neighborhood brasserie. The service was friendly & top notch. Everyone made us feel welcome & offered explanations & assistance in making choices when needed. The lamb shank, salmon tartare, & chicken liver mousse were highlights, along with Bernard's Cocktail.
Only note is the menu on the website didn't match the menu in person. Several items were different, though the classics were definitely there.
J'ai adoré mon expérience à la brasserie. La présentation des plats étaient soignées, le goût excellent & le service au-delà de nos attentes. Le petit bémol est le bruit, si vous cherchez un restaurant plutôt tranquille, ce n'est pas l'endroit idéal. Sinon, tout a satisfait nos exigences en tant que clients pour une première expérience.
Comme toujours , un incontournable de la restauration type bistrot français à Montréal, service impeccable, le meilleur tartare de boeuf & que dire des moules ; à des prix qui demeurent raisonnables pour la qualité obtenue contrairement à d'autres bistrots bien connus de la scène culinaire montréalaise qui exagèrent tout simplement!

The saddest, wrinkled looking fries ever. Not sure why they even dare to serve this overcooked cardboard to customers. Fries so dry as if they've been left out on the counter too long then reheated. The 2 stars are given coz they gave me a free-of charge on one of the orders.
Party of five that had as an entrée, in no particular order, oysters (thoroughly enjoyed), charcuterie (pleasantly enjoyed) & the onion soup (enjoyed, was filling & tasty).
For the main course, 2 had the blood pudding or boudin & were very satisfied; the veal ravioli (who raved about it); white fish - can't remember the type - (was tasty, per the person who ordered it) & sausage on potato purée (very, emphasis on the VERY, ordinary). The author of this critique would suggest having a menu with these same sausages in a panini roll served with fries vs. the dish it was served in.
The ambiance is pleasant & airy, the noise level can be somewhat elevated. The only consolation is that there is no background music to add to the verbiage going on around you.
Where they really shine is the service. Always attentive, never overbearing; they are knowledgeable in their opinions & in their recommendations.
J'ai eu le plaisir de découvrir La Brasserie Bernard, & l'expérience a été à la hauteur de mes attentes.
Nous avons commencé avec des huîtres fraîches, servies sur glace avec une mignonette & une sauce piquante. Elles étaient bien charnues, iodées à souhait, parfaites pour ouvrir l'appétit.
Ensuite, nous avons opté pour les moules marinières, généreusement servies dans un bouillon parfumé, accompagnées de frites croustillantes & d'une petite salade fraîche, en sus, pour équilibrer le tout. Un classique exécuté à la perfection !
Le tartare de saumon était également un très bon choix : bien assaisonné, accompagné de croûtons & de frites dorées, il offrait une belle harmonie de textures & de saveurs.
L'ambiance était chaleureuse, le service efficace & attentionné.
Une adresse incontournable pour les amateurs de fruits de mer & de cuisine bistro à Montréal !
Très bonne brasserie française classe & elegante. Très bons plats , service attentionné sans être trop présent, bonne viande , bon poisson, très bons desserts .
Ouvert depuis plusieurs années cette grande brasserie française vous en donne pour votre argent. Par contre les tables sont très rapprochées & petites. Mais se croire a Paris sur l'avenue Bernard a Outremont a son prix.
