Sonia was our vivacious server but truly the whole team deserves an ensemble Academy Award. The 701 staff are the nicest people on the planet! You can also try the margret duck breasts for dinner, served on mashed carrots in maple syrup. Apple wine a must! GO!View more
First time here & will definitely come back! Great atmosphere, delicious food & our server Melissa was the best server you could ask for.
Definitely recommend! The eggs benedict were amazingView more
Paula was our server was incredible! The smoked salmon eggs benedict & maple tequila sunrise was delicious! A must eat in Montreal!View more
We are in Montreal for a few days for a concert & found awesome reviews on Reddit so we figured we'd give it a try. Not only was the Benedict one of the best I've ever had (duck benny) the service was exceptional. Jiang & Victor made us specialty coffees & mimosas & they were all delicious!! They were so kind & patient with us (language barrier). Will definitely come again!View more
ervice was very nice, however the food was okay at best. The cortados were milky, & the smoked salmon eggs Benedict with breakfast potatoes was akin to Cora's. Would not recommend the mushroom toast unless you are a super fan of balsamic reduction - the plate is drenched in it. Overall, we expected the food to match the service & ambience - would not recommend if you value taste over aestheticView more
Brasserie 701 was my restaurant of choice for my Christmas morning brunch! It did not disappoint! My server Tristan went above & beyond- he was incredibly busy but still made time to offer a few suggestions around Montreal "from a local". I really appreciated this banter as he gave me tips & tricks & insider info on the places I was already planning to visit. Once a year I award a server 100% tip for being incredible, & Tristan was my 2024 recipient! Thank you so much! The buffet was officially supposed to begin at 10am. I was seated around 950 & everyone was floundering about setting up the buffet. It seemed like nobody was in charge & everybody was unsure of their role. I didn't even get water or a Bonjour until about 1020! But it was smooth sailing from then on out! There was a hot table with beef bourginon, eggs Benedict & salmon. The cold table featured different salads- classic Caesar, beet salad & quinoa salad. The dessert table was far off on the side & I'm not sure many people even saw it (I was sitting across from it). The sunshine hits in the most lovely way through the windows of Brasserie 701. It's perfect for taking photos! The building is beautiful from the outside as well! It's right down the street from Notre Dame basilica. Thank you for the loveliest way to spend Christmas morning!View more
Very nice vibe, great food & good portion sizes! The cheese & mushroom omelette, avocado toast, duck benedict & waffles were all really good.View more
:)View more
Nice place for breakfast in city center old Montreal. Ordered yogurt parfait & veg Benedict with egg white.View more
Melissa! You are amazing! Thanks so much for the shot! I had such a great time here, I had 3mimosas & the lobster egg Benedict, Delicious! 1st time here & 1st time in Montreal, great experience, highly recommend!View more
Can I just say I absolutely love it here. First of all Melissa was our waitress & she was so pleasant; literally so sweet & attentive. She made sure everything for us was to perfection. Secondly, this was THE BEST BRUNCH FOOD! I had the Lobster Benedict & it was so amazing. I can't sing their praises enough. If you're looking for food in Montréal run, don't walk, to Brasserie 701!View more
Very old building with a pristine inside. Service was amazing. 3 adults & 3 kids loved the food: eggs Benedict to yogurt parfait to continental platter!View more
Went in for brunch & inside was nice but outside of that I wouldn't have much good to say. My wife & I ordered coffee & our food, our drinks came right away but the food took about 40 minutes to come out. Ordered eggs Benedict & a simple "2 eggs any style" & everything was overcooked & dry. We figured that because we were staying at the hotel that we were getting served last before the guests but it wasn't even that busy so I don't understand why it took so long. Maybe just a bad day for them, & I completely understand that but I wouldn't recommend going there for brunch. Plenty of other amazing places that won't disappoint.View more
Food was good, but the portion is small for what it costs. Got the veggie Benedict & they forgot to add the spinach until we asked for it. They only delivered it 15 mins later when we were almost done eating.View more
It was a fine place to grab some breakfast. I had the eggs benedict & cappuccino. It was a pleasant breakfast in a setting you'd expect of an upscale hotel restaurantView more
We wanted to come here for brunch but we didn't make a reservation in advance so we ended up getting breakfast instead. I ordered the smoked salmon egg Benedict, which was actually offered for both breakfast & brunch. The egg Benedict was scrumptious! The potatoes were warm & crispy. The hollandaise was rich & silky. The eggs were poached perfectly. My boyfriend got scrambled eggs with sausages, which were also delicious. The portions were generous. For that day, this meal kept us properly fueled to explore Montreal for the whole day. For our next trip, we will come back to Brasserie 701 for brunch :)View more
Really great breakfast. I had the classic eggs Benedict.View more
Food was great, went with 4 people & had the chicken & waffles & eggs Benedict but the service was the pièce de résistance, our waitress Melissa went above & beyond was very friendly & recommended the best stuff on the menu will definitely go back again thanks to Melissa!View more
Went there for happening gourmand for brunch we had a reservation so there wasn't a wait the restaurant was full, so would suggest a reservation, especially for brunch. The food was served very quickly & the servers were very nice. It's not a brunch that I go out of my way for. I had the lobster eggs Benedict & it was just OK & finish off with the orange crepe which was a bit too orangey for my liking but that's just my preference. Really nice atmosphere. I'd like to try it for dinner, but brunch didn't blow my socks off.View more
i LOVED this place - best eggs benedict i've ever had. the ham is toasted to become crispy & has such lovely salty flavor. the hollandaise sauce was some of the best i've had as it was so well seasoned. would recommend their mimosas as well!View more
Me & my fiancée went here during the brunch the food was spectacular the eggs Benedict & the chicken & waffles was amazing, they had really good mayo it was on the sweet side & i wanted to take some home, the bartender i forgot his name but he was asian, served me & my fiancée the best drinks which were the Canadian coffee & the signature tequila sunrise, he really is passionate about his job & it is hard to find in new york who is as passionate as he is. Definitely will come back here in the futureView more
I defy you to find better Eggs Benedict anywhere in CanadaView more
Had brunch on the patio. The view was nice & the restaurant is in a great location. Service was excellent. Unfortunately the food was subpar. The potatoes needed more seasoning & the benedict was nothing special.View more
