The man working the entrance this past Saturday was incredibly rude & unprofessional, speaking to guests with unnecessary attitude. I've never experienced anything like that at a high-end speakeasy. Being exclusive doesn't mean being disrespectful. Although this place is highly advertised online, I wish I had read the reviews before wasting part of our Saturday night here. We will not be coming back or recommending it to anyone we know. Hospitality starts the moment guests arrive, & unfortunately, that was completely missing here. Would have given 0 stars if that was an option!
Visited yesterday Saturday June 6, & it was honestly one of the most uncomfortable experiences I've ever had. The venue was so overcrowded that it became genuinely difficult to breathe. There was no airflow, & the entire place felt like a sauna. Everyone was drenched in sweat, panting, & visibly struggling with the heat & lack of ventilation.
The number of people inside was excessive. You could barely move, & instead of enjoying the night, people were trying to find somewhere to catch their breath. It felt suffocating. My friends & I still felt sick after coming home hours later & trying to recover from how traumatizing that was. No one should leave a club feeling physically unwell because of the conditions inside. Had we not left immediately, one of us would have definitely passed out
I even brought the issue up to staff, a lady at the coat check, explaining that people were struggling to breathe & that the heat is unbearable. The response was careless & dismissive, with no concern shown despite how many people were visibly uncomfortable & complaining.
& don't even get me started on the bathroom situation. Waiting 30-45 minutes to use the bathroom is absolutely ridiculous. For the number of people allowed inside, there are clearly not enough facilities. Three individual stalls shared by hundreds of people? That's completely inadequate.
Bowie is known to get crowded on Saturdays, but what happened yesterday went far beyond a busy venue. It felt like a genuine safety concern. Management needs to address the overcrowding, improve ventilation, & provide adequate bathroom facilities before someone gets seriously hurt. Do better.
Avoid this place. Reservation is a must, but honestly, don't even bother.'
The staff at the front door are shockingly unprofessional & rude especially a taller guy with a buzz cut working on Saturday night at 10:30pm June 6th currently letting people in who specializes in being passive-aggressive. They act like they're doing you a massive favor just by letting you breathe their air.
A speakeasy is supposed to feel exclusive & cool, but this place just feels hostile. Customer service is dead last on their priority list, replaced instead with an attitude-filled environment that will completely ruin your night. Save your money & go somewhere that actually values its guests. It is definitely not worth the hype.
Absolutely impeccable experience at this location on a fully booked Saturday night; we showed up about 45 minutes before they opened 😅 & we were going to walk around when the host decided to let us in & essentially gave us VIP service (the place to ourselves pre opening). They served us a little amuse-bouche cheesecake for both our birthdays. We had the Champagne by the glass which is definitely worth it. Nothing but rave reviews from both Caroline & I. Will be coming back, no question.
Went out for drinks last Saturday & it was litttt. Music & staff were great. Drinks are expensive so just take a bottle, more worth it.
One of a kind vibe with an exceptional team! Special thanks to Fernando & Laurent for their constant hospitality towards myself & my guests. If there's one door to knock on for a great Saturday night with friends it's this one.
