I had the pleasure to be helped by Dikra.
I always love coming to this boulangerie! I love their products & they have great customer service.
Always very kind service even in rush hours, fresh pastries & lovely atmosphere. Love coming here!
The best croissants I've had in MTL. Love the place & definitely would go back
Lots of natural light in this welcoming downtown cafe. This area is not rich with quality cafes so Boulangerie Ange is superbly placed. Their croissants & chocolatines are expertly crafted, perfectly puffy. They just opened another location closer to me so will be trying them out there as well.

We stopped in for a quick lunch (sandwiches & dessert). I ordered the pan bagnat, a Nice-style tuna number I've had a thousand times in southern France. Salty, oily, honest.
But this version came with a surprise. Mid-bite, I hit something soft, elastic. I pulled it out, & there it was: a used finger BAND-AID.
Straight from someone else's hand into my mouth.Let that sink in: a BAND-AID. In. My. Sandwich.
To the manager's credit, she didn't flinch. Apologized immediately, reimbursed the entire meal, & told us the food is made off-site in a central kitchen. She assured us she'd raise hell with the supplier. She owned it & I respect that. But even with that responsibility taken, there's no coming back from this.
This wasn't some back-alley food stall in Bangkok where you expect the unexpected. This was a corporate operation (Ange is a chain), a system that's supposed to run with standards & controls. That's what makes it worse. This didn't just slip through the cracks. The cracks are the system.
Nothing has ever turned my stomach like this. Ange Bakery? Never again. Industrial food at its most careless.
