We had a great experience at Bivouac last night! Went there with the kids for a small family celebration. Were warmly welcomed at the reception, our waiter Mike did a great job, too. The food was amazing. Overall we are very satisfied.
Highly recommend!!!
Nourriture exquise & super service!
Bivouac has a truly creative & masterful executive chef. The dished of the Quebec "Terroir" were very intuitive in their combination of ingredients. The flavors simply continued to burst in layer after layer of complimenting tastes. The ambience is nice as long as there are no teens playing loudly in the adjacent game room. There should be a wall in between for certain. The "House Jazz Music" was very good & smoothly upbeat with rhythms from the likes of Saint Germain &.al. Wait staff were all professional & attentive & our main server Michael B. from the outskirts of Paris & proudly a new Canadian citizen was outstanding. We will return for sure.
Really enjoyed our meal & the ambiance. A bit pricey for this simple & varied menu but the food was good. They need a bit more lighting, it's hard to read the menu. The servers were polite & ready to please. Overall very satisfied. We will return & recommend this restaurant to friends!
This is a good restaurant; I would describe the food as updated traditional French. Everything was well-prepared & tasty & the wine list was also good. The server was attentive without being too attentive, & the atmosphere is a kind of upscale lounge. I think, though, we were expecting a bit more considering the reviews we read & the other upscale restaurant to which we went the same week, which offered very creative & refined dishes. This is not a criticism, however; Bivouac is worth visiting.
Probably the best piece of cod I`ve ever had. & a great dessert (generous portion). I will be back here for a business lunch.
