My boyfriend & I went to Bistro Tôt ou Tard last night for his birthday. The staff & food were outstanding! The restaurant is relaxing-nobody trying to be pretentious. Just a nice relaxing time & a perfect evening.

Disappointing experience - The name says it all. The ambiance at this restaurant is nice, especially the view from the outdoor terrace, making it a lovely spot to sit during the warmer months. Our server was pleasant when she initially took our orders. Unfortunately, the service completely fell apart after that. I ordered an appetizer, the toasted corn chips WITH CHICKEN. However, my family's meals arrived, but mine was completely forgotten. After waiting for a while, I managed to get the server's attention. She apologized & went to check on it, but nothing happened. My family had enough time to completely finish eating their meals while I sat there waiting. I had to ask about my food a second time, only to be given a useless excuse. As I was about to cancel the order entirely, they finally brought out the nachos with cheese-but they completely left off the chicken. To make matters worse, a staff member came over to offer a very poor excuse, claiming that the dish was only served at dinner time. When I pointed out that it was listed as an appetizer, he simply didn't care. I later noticed that the menu posted on the restaurant's outside wall didn't even mention my appetizer. Perhaps the kitchen was working with that menu while we were given a different one, which shows a complete lack of organization. It was a highly frustrating experience. The food arrived incredibly late (trop tard), & I missed the opportunity to eat a meal together with my family. I guess I should have paid closer attention to the restaurant's name before walking in, because Bistro'Tôt ou Tard' (Soon or Late) really does say it all.

Ce soir, mon mari avait envie de manger des moules & en cherchant sur Internet, nous avons atterri dans ce restaurant. De prime abord, un ancien bistrot en bas d'un grand immeuble, tout près du parc Lafontaine. Un décor, disons un peu ringard, mais vous devez quand même pousser la porte. Les moules sont fort bonnes ainsi que les frites. Une bonne bière & le tout à un prix bien raisonnable. De plus une bande musicale comme on les aime, Beattles, Dylan...choisie par une serveuse charmante. Une adresse à garder. Merci!
