So lucky to have stumbled across this family-owned eatery. The owners are so welcoming & know their customers by name, & meals are prepared quickly. The food was wonderful-they make all their pastries in house & the croissants are so so good. The morning bagel sandwich & the omelette are awesome too!View more

This place is really a hidden gem, located in the lower floor of the building. We had a croque matin, Canadian omelet breakfast plate, brownie & a slice of the Boston pie. Everything is fresh, homemade & delicious. The owners are lovely & the place, although small, has a cozy atmosphere. Will definitely come back in our next stop in Montreal!View more

C'était notre première commande, agréablement surprise, un petit cadeau dans notre commande. Très agréable que les gestionnaires pensent à leurs clients. On à pris un sandwich poulet, bacon chipotle, un BLT & deux croissants. Le sandwich chipotle etait excellent, le BLT pourrait avoir une sauce en plus, les croissants étaient super aussi. Fantastic food, service & atmosphere. This bistro is located in the basement of Cinema du Parc building. I got the breakfast combo, which was filling & delicious. The staff was very understanding about my dietary restriction - vegan customization exists. Loved the cheerful service & background music; would heartily recommend!View more

this is hands-down the most underrated spot in all of Montreal. if they had a storefront above-ground, i'm confident they'd have lines out the door all day. the food is amazing, not too expensive, & still fresh. they probably have the best pain au chocolat/chocolatine i've ever had in my entire life. but what sets this place apart is the staff! Rosie, her husband, & their two kids that i've met have been SO sweet, welcoming, friendly, kind, etc, even beyond the customer interactions. it took me coming in ONCE for Rosie to recognize me, remember who i was/where & what i studied/etc. they truly go above & beyond every time, so if you're ever in the MP area give these lovely folks some business!!!View more

Dès mon premier pas au BISTRO LA CITE, j'ai été accueillie par un sourire chaleureux qui m'a immédiatement fait sentir comme chez moi. Le service est, sans l'ombre d'un doute, le meilleur que j'ai jamais expérimenté. L'équipe est non seulement efficace & professionnelle, mais aussi incroyablement accueillante & attentive à chaque détail. La nourriture est un véritable régal pour les papilles. Chaque plat que j'ai eu le plaisir de déguster était extrêmement bon, préparé avec une finesse & une passion qui se ressentent à chaque bouchée. Il est évident que tout est fait avec amour & joie, ce qui rend l'expérience culinaire encore plus spéciale. Je vais au BISTRO de LA CITE tous les jours, & je peux affirmer sans hésiter que c'est l'une de mes meilleures adresses à Montréal. Que ce soit pour un café matinal, un déjeuner entre amis ou meme juste un moment pour soi, ce lieu a toujours quelque chose d'unique à offrir. Je le recommande à 10000% ! C'est plus qu'un simple café, c'est une oasis de bonheur au coeur de la ville, où chaque moment passé est agréable & mémorable. I ordered two eggs & a sandwich. The delivery took so long the lettuce & salad was cooked to mush. They sent the wrong type of eggs, the wrong type of bread, & the bread & pastries were so soaked with condensation they were mush. I had to ask for a refund. I had even tipped the restaurant & given a $7.50 tip to the driver. I am very disappointed with the service. They even sent a free croissant as a thank you for the tip, but that was soggy mush too... :( I'll use the refund to order from somewhere else...View more
