Established for over twenty years, the bistro des bières belges is housed in an authentic Canadian house of over 150 years old. The original house was a railway station, then a farm house where the current mezzanine served as a grain warehouse.
For several years, different businesses have occupied the site. On the menu, you'll find mussels which are famous to this bistro. They are prepared to your liking, with one of the thirteen house recipes and served with excellent mayonnaise french fries. While maintaining a Belgian touch, the bistro also offers grilled meats and local Quebecois products. To compliment your meal you'll have a choice of over 100 imported beers, the majority of which come from Belgium.

Was there on Saturday night for a birthday dinner. It was a first for the two of us & we are excited to go back. The place (an old house style restaurant with two levels, two sections on the ground floor & a terrace for the warmer months) wasn't too packed when we arrived for our 6pm reservation, but people really started coming in at 6:30-7pm. The food was phenomenal (they have a set menu as well as an "ardoises"/rotating menu). They offer a huge variety of food... definitely not a standard pub food place (french onion soup, octopus, fries & mussels, poke bowls, duck sausages, tartare...). We had the ribs with risotto (on the set menu) & the butternut gnocchi with porto sauce, truffle oil & braised beef cheek... I'm still thinking about the latter. If you are a foodie & love to try new beers in a cozy atmosphere, THIS is the place to go (20 minutes from the island of Montreal~WORTH IT).
Je souhaite exprimer ma profonde déception envers ce restaurant réputé que nous fréquentons depuis plus de 20 ans, où la nourriture, le service & l'ambiance ont toujours été exceptionnels. Tout d'abord, nous avons été placés à quelques centimètres de la "table de service d'eau", avec une vue désagréable sur l'arrière du bar, alors que le restaurant n'était pas plein. J'ai commandé un contre-filet à 42 $ & j'ai reçu un steak de sandwich, à peine un huitième de pouce d'épaisseur & bien trop cuit. Les légumes d'accompagnement-oignons, poivrons & champignons-étaient frits dans l'huile au point d'être presque brûlés. Mon mari a commandé une carbonnade flamande (boeuf braisé en sauce) à 25 $, & il n'a reçu que deux petits cubes de viande. C'était vraiment le pire repas que j'ai jamais eu dans un restaurant. J'ai laissé un pourboire de 20 % à la serveuse, car elle était courtoise & a offert un excellent service malgré notre déception-&, après tout, ce n'était pas elle qui avait cuisiné le repas. Malheureusement, nous ne retournerons pas & ne pouvons plus recommander ce restaurant. I want to express my profound disappointment with this renowned restaurant that we have frequented for over 20 years, where the food, service, & ambiance have always been exceptional. To start, we were seated just inches away from the "water service table," with an unfortunate view of the back of the bar, despite the restaurant not being full. I ordered a Contre-filet steak for $42 & received a sandwich steak, barely an eighth of an inch thick & well overcooked. The accompanying vegetables-onions, peppers, & mushrooms-were fried in oil to the point of being almost burnt. My husband ordered the carbonnade flamande (braised beef in sauce) for $25, & he received perhaps two small cubes of beef. This was truly the worst meal I've ever had in a restaurant. I did leave a 20% tip for the waitress, as she was courteous & provided excellent service despite our disappointment-&, after all, she didn't cook the meal. Unfortunately, we will not be returning & can no longer recommend this restaurant.
Je suis allé 2 fois cette année...deux réussites ! Le service du BBB est AAA 😄 Grâce aux conseils du serveur. La bière a été adéquatement recommandée. Leur cassoulet avec cuisse de canard confite est bien assaisonnée & sublime! J'ai grandement apprécié la coquille St-Jacques. Les frites sont à la hauteur d'un bistro Belge. Belle ambiance. La terrace est charmante! Merci & santé!

Tristement la dernière fois au BBB. Le classique des moules Bollywood est rendu imangeable. Aujourd'hui les crevettes & les pétoncles étaient tellement dures & plein de moules fermées dans l'assiette.
Très belle adresse, tant par son décor ( terasse très agréable) que par son service & qualité des plats. Nous y avons passé un très bon moment avec un prochain passage prévu d ici quelques semaines!
The food is not exceptional but the service is good. If you really like beer & want to try a private imported collection, it is the place. However, the parking space is very limited & if you park infront of the building, it is a permit zone, surprisingly for St-Hubert. You will get for sure a ticket as people from the block will call to get you one. So it is a no go for me if np place to park, sorry.
I went there with my daughters, & everything was outstanding from the time we walked in the door. I had the wagyu burger, & it was fantastic! Well all enjoyed ourselves & will definitely be stopping next time we go through there
Excellent choix de bières importées & locales. Menu varié & appétissant. Les fruits de mer & poissons y sont très bien apprêtés. Café délicieux. Le service est attentionné.
