Bistro America absolutely blew me away! They organized a beautiful, intimate private event for our club & everything was just perfect. The food was AMAZING-& I'm a tough critic!
The beet salad was OUT OF THIS WORLD, the focaccia was WOW, & the polpettes…ouf 😮?💨 My mama makes the best but these came very close (sorry guys but my mama's polpettes will always be #1). The pasta was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of cheese👌🏼& that dessert platter: STUNNING! I may have hogged the tiramisu because it's my favorite dessert & this one was juicy, creamy & absolutely delicious. I'm craving it again as I write this!
The service was impeccable. The atmosphere felt so homey & welcoming. I'm definitely coming back with friends & family.
Thank you Bistro America team for this unforgettable night!
Such a great vibe at this place. The food is so authentic & delicious. We went twice in two days! Be prepared to wait for dinner (or go in the afternoon like we did!) The best puttanesca I've ever had.
We always go to Amerigo, unfortunately, for some reason the food is not as good as it used to be. Service is good. Atmosphere is quite disturbing, the tables are too close to each other. Privacy while you are eating is totally impossible. Please do something in the bathrooms as it is filthy & smells pee.
Everything just tasted old & outdated. The tables are much too close together for comfort. Everybody is so close that you can hear everybody's conversation. It's quite noisy, & the restaurant itself seems very old, & quite dirty. I had high expectations & was greatly disappointed.

The mood is cheerful, the staff are incredibly attentive, the food is absolutely fabulous, & the overall experience will leave you wanting to come back again & again.

Honestly one of the best Italian restaurants in the city, & very affordable! Staff is amazing, food is top, quality is amazing. You cannot go wrong! Thank you to Steve & his team!
Had the pollo parmigiana & it was outstanding. The polpette appetizers were absolutely amazing. Others at the table had spaghetti putanesca & the cavatelli with rapini & sausage. A+
Magnifico!!

Is this a best kept secret or what?!! I was visiting Montreal & friends showed me this spot. I went there twice. Everything is so delicious, you can't go wrong & great service!! I'll be back!
Amerigo on Monkland is a true neighborhood gem. The vibe felt straight out of New York-busy & lively, but still easy to chat. The ossobuco with saffron risotto was outstanding & instantly brought me back to Italy, while the tiramisu was the perfect finish. Great wine list with fair prices (loved the Aglianico!), & the service was excellent. They don't take reservations, but the wait was short & the stroll around the area made it even better. Can't wait to go back & try more dishes!
