Since 2010, this cozy Italian bistro in NDG’s Monkland Village has been serving simple, carefully prepared dishes, warm hospitality, and a drink to bring it all together. Known for hand-rolled meatballs, crisp fried calamari, and fresh pastas, Amerigo also offers classic Italian cocktails and a focused Italian wine list.

Food was amazing! The pasta was fresh, creamy & delicious. Wine was good as well. The pasta comes with a salad that was really good as well. Will definitely come back!

Bistro Amerigo is hands down one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the city. The atmosphere on Monkland Avenue is always vibrant, & the interior of the restaurant is cozy & romantic. The homemade pasta dishes are absolutely phenomenal, particularly the pappardelle & the classic carbonara. The wine list is extensive & pairs beautifully with the food. Exceptional service every time.
