Bistro Amerigo honors Amerigo Marcone, father of chef-owner Stephen Marcone. Since 2010, this cozy Italian bistro in NDG’s Monkland Village has been serving simple, carefully prepared dishes, warm hospitality, and a drink to bring it all together. Known for hand-rolled meatballs, crisp fried calamari, and fresh pastas, Amerigo also offers classic Italian cocktails and a focused Italian wine list.

Outstanding grilled octopus.. I've ordered grilled octopus anywhere it's on the menu... the preparation & execution was unlike anything I've had. Set the bar.. incredible. In photo: Grilled octopus, substituted fregula sarda for the chefs recommendation.. which turned out to be medley of tomatoes & pesto.

Wonderful atmosphere & service. We were walk-ins & although it was full they got us a table within 15 minutes. Food was excellent. Linguine Vongole amazing. Thanks!

The food is fine but the service is not good, we felt rushed. As soon as we finished our plates they brought us the bill, took the water, & 10mns later they ask us to leave so that other people take our seats. We've been sitting down for less than an hour. Is this a fast food or a restaurant?
