Reviews describe Bistro Amerigo as a cozy, neighborhood Italian bistro in Montreal with a simple, honest menu of well executed classics made with fresh ingredients. Diners repeatedly praise the gnocchi, meatballs, arancini, and a wide range of pastas and seafood, noting generous portions, comforting flavors, and a homey atmosphere that suits lunch or dinner. The wine list and service are often highlighted as warm and attentive, though several comments mention long waits for tables due to no reservations, crowded spaces, and occasional inconsistencies in service. Standout dishes such as vongole, octopus, and tiramisu or cannoli are frequently cited, while a few visits are described as pricey for the area. Overall, the restaurant is seen as a genuine Montreal gem that delivers authentic Italian food with personality and invites guests to return to try more of the menu.
Had such a wonderful lunch for my birthday here! The lamb & ravioli fish were huge portions & delicious. The service was excellent, our server so friendly & gave us a tiramasu on the house as a birthday dessert!

Such a wonderful family owned restaurant. The food is delicious, service warm & efficient. It has small seating & a very cozy atmosphere, first come first serve. I enjoyed myself so much. I can't remember enjoying a restaurant to that level. Highly recommend.
You're done!).
Outstanding grilled octopus.. I've ordered grilled octopus anywhere it's on the menu... the preparation & execution was unlike anything I've had. Set the bar.. incredible. In photo: Grilled octopus, substituted fregula sarda for the chefs recommendation.. which turned out to be medley of tomatoes & pesto.

Wonderful atmosphere & service. We were walk-ins & although it was full they got us a table within 15 minutes. Food was excellent. Linguine Vongole amazing. Thanks!
The food is fine but the service is not good, we felt rushed. As soon as we finished our plates they brought us the bill, took the water, & 10mns later they ask us to leave so that other people take our seats. We've been sitting down for less than an hour. Is this a fast food or a restaurant?
I haven't eaten this well in a restaurant in ages! The food, service & ambiance is fantastic! You won't be disappointed. & Naira is an exceptional waitress; we were very well taken care of.
Amazing food .. the service was impeccable. Our waitress was so amazing, super friendly, explained the menu to us & made fantastic recommendations for us. The cocktails were also amazing. All around, great experience. Will definitely be coming back.
Best home made Italian place in MTL! The bolognese is amazing . Definitely order the octopus , it's the cheapest in the city with high quality. The gentleman Mike gave amazing service ! The best tsiramisu !
