Absolutely Incredible Experience at Bevo!
Bevo, right next to the Old Port in Montréal, completely exceeded my expectations from start to finish! The moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, elegant atmosphere that perfectly blends modern style with cozy charm. The lighting, décor, & overall vibe make it the kind of place you never want to leave.
Rebecca was the best server ever.
One thing that immediately stood out was how spotless everything was - even the bathrooms were incredibly clean, fresh, & well-maintained (which says a lot about how much care they put into every detail!).
& the food? Truly to die for. Every dish was bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked, & beautifully presented. You can taste the quality & passion in every bite. Whether it was the pasta, pizza, or desserts, everything felt authentic, rich, & absolutely unforgettable.
The service was also top-notch - friendly, attentive, & genuinely welcoming. Bevo isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience. If you're in Montréal, especially near the Old Port, this is a must-visit. I'd give it more than five stars if I could!
I had a feta & olive pizza, it was tasty, the dough is the perfect amount of soft & crispy, well cooked. I had the beet salad, it had goat cheese, walnuts & apples. It was recommended by the waitress, it was very good as well. I had to put some spicy oil on the pizza to give it a little kick. A little pricey but it is to be expected of a restaurant in the old port.
Food, service, atmosphere & great vibes! All in one place & right near the port & old Montreal. If you're looking to dine in at an Italian place with great staff & food this is the place. The ricotta pasta was the most amazing pasta I've had ask the server for this when ordering I don't recall the name. The mushroom mozzarella pizza was nice but nothing crazy. The sun-dried goat cheese tomato based pizza was great vegetarian option as well.
Overall great experience if you are in old montreal for some Italian food
During my recent culinary stroll through Old Port Montreal, I had the pleasure of dining at a charming spot that delivered a delightful blend of comfort, flavor, & ambiance. Our order consisted of the Arancino, Salame Pizza, Focaccia bread, & two craft cocktails-a well-rounded selection for an evening out.
Let me start with the Arancino-a golden, fried risotto ball nestled in a luscious tomato sauce. This dish is a must-try. The outer crispiness gives way to a creamy, flavorful center that immediately wakes up the palate. The sauce, vibrant & tangy, complements the richness of the risotto perfectly. It's the kind of starter that sets the bar high & leaves you anticipating what's next.
Following this strong start was the Salame Pizza, topped generously with pepperoni. What stood out here was the meticulous attention to detail-the pepperoni was sliced to a consistent, ideal thickness, crisped just right around the edges. The dough struck a perfect balance-thin enough to avoid any heavy, bloated feeling, yet sturdy enough to hold its structure & deliver a satisfying chew. Each bite was harmonious, & the flavor lingered pleasantly on the tongue.
Next came the Focaccia bread. While it may not have been the highlight of the meal, it was certainly enjoyable-lightly crisped on the outside, soft on the inside, & mildly seasoned. It serves as a great accompaniment, though it doesn't steal the spotlight.
Pairing all of this with two well-crafted cocktails elevated the experience. Whether you're a fan of something refreshing or more spirit-forward, the cocktail menu is worth exploring to enhance your meal.
The location deserves its own mention-the restaurant is tucked away in the picturesque Old Port, offering diners a visually pleasing, almost cinematic backdrop. With cobblestone streets, old-world architecture, & a warm breeze from the water, the setting adds a unique charm to the entire dining experience. The staff were equally impressive-welcoming with genuine smiles & attentive throughout the evening, striking the perfect balance between friendliness & professionalism.
If there's one caveat to note, it's that the kitchen can take a bit of time, so I recommend settling in, enjoying the ambiance, & perhaps ordering a drink or two while you wait. The food is worth the patience.
Final verdict: Start with the Arancino, don't skip the Salame Pizza, sip on something crafted behind the bar, & soak in the atmosphere. This spot is a delightful gem in the heart of Old Montreal.
Last night we have been to a Pizza making experience at Bevo's in Montreal's Old Port.
We had reserved our experience online & prepaid everything(including tip)
From the star, the young lady greeting us at the door was very pleasant.
(I hope I'm getting the names right)
We then had the pleasure to have Yanni as a waiter who took great care of us. Very nice, no rush, eager to please.
We were served
2 Giant meatballs:delicious
1 dish to share Rosée noodles: delicious
1 dish of olives(too salty) & different vegetables with something resembling melba toasts: my husband ate some, I didn't like it. Maybe it's an acquired taste.
Then we met the Chef Giovanni, very very nice & patient. Lovingly sharing his knowledge & love of making pizza.
We actually learned a lot.
We each made our own pizza the way we like it by choosing our own toppings & going ourselves being the counter & building our own pizza.
The cook then puts it in the stone oven an they then serve to us:Delicious
They top it off with a beautiful Nutella pizza: Delicious
The package included a glass of wine or drink.
We were also given a beautiful Bevo apron to take home:We liked that
I would highly recommend the whole experience, we both had great food & a great experience!
THE place for pizza in Old Port. Fast & tasty, super cute ambiance, located on a beautiful street, I always enjoy my experience.
Place incontournable dans le vieux port grâce a la merveilleuse Rebecca qui offre le meilleur service ! Très bonne nourriture ! Je reviendrais again & again
Bevo Pizzeria is perfectly situated in the charming Old Port of Montreal, making it an excellent starting point for exploring the area. The place has a pleasant atmosphere & is tastefully decorated. However, my experience started on a negative note when I was seated at a table over a sewer that emitted a foul odor. Fortunately, when I requested a change, the staff was very friendly & quickly accommodated me. Unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing. I ordered gnocchi that were so hard they felt like "cannonballs." On the other hand, my wife ordered a milanesa that was decent but nothing memorable. The prices are reasonable for the location, though I expected a bit more in terms of quality.
Jai adorer la nourriture, de plus le service de ma serveuse Marianne étais excellent! Je conseil ce restaurant a n'importe qui visitant le Vieux port
Bevo Bar + Pizzeria offers an incredible pizza experience right in the heart of the Old Port area, with a blend of amazing taste & affordability that's hard to find in such a prime location. The pizzas are a masterpiece of flavor, perfectly balanced without being greasy, overly dry, or too thick-just mouthwatering goodness in every bite. The chef & staff add to the experience with their warm smiles & exceptional service, making each visit memorable. This place is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, delicious pizza served by a wonderful team.
Great Pizzeria! Amazing service & great quality. Would recommend for anyone looking for a nice Italian restaurant. Update: 07-06-2024. Amazing service from Abrah-Jeanne, took care of me, & i felt welcome. The Summer ambiance is great & very lively here in Old Port. Would still recommend anytime!
We got served by a lovely lady, her name is Alyson & as soon as we got to our table, she provided excellent service from start to finnish. She made our experience at Bevo one we'll remember for a long time! Service & food were both sensational & I strongly recommend passing by if you're in the old port.
Great place to eat in the old port...service always up to my expectations ;)
Great spot for a nice consistent Italian meal in the old port. Good for families - couples - friends etc. We were served by Marianne. Marianne is fine & a more than fine server .
Super endroit! La pizza est excellente & que dire de notre serveur Giancarlo tres bon service. Si vous allez au Vieux-Port c'est a ne pas manquez! Bonne appétit!
Great service, great ambiance, delicious food & drinks. Slightly overpriced but reasonable compared to similar places in Old Port :)
I had a lovely experience during a birthday event. We were promptly greeted & seated at our table & drink orders were taken right away, I always appreciate this. Giancarlo was our server this evening, he was friendly, attentive & prompt & made great suggestions, we were very please with the sharing plates & appetizers for the group such as the charcuterie & calamari. I would definitely return & recommend Bevo for a fun night out in the old port
We had a great time in Bevo. A beautiful restaurant located near old port. They have French/English menu with a variety of food & beverages. You can also add more toppings to your pizza to make it customized. The bread was excellent & Arancino tasted great as well✨ also the waitress was super nice & patient with us & helped us choose.
Went out to old port at Bevo restaurant everything was amazing the pizza was spot on & our server Yanny was great definitely going back
cute place in the old port. wasnt very busy when i went so the service was on point. great location & had a few choices! the menu has more "fancy" choices rather than classic carbonara or classic spaghetti so just be aware! still, the food was delicious
