Very expensive for very little. A place to go if you're a poser & don't care to spend too much. Food was ok but not the level we paid for it. Service was almost non-existent, for example serving 2 times 4 breads for a table of 10 is just random trolling, sub par glass washing that I had to ask to change since there was a noticeable soap/wretched taste, etc.View more
View more
View more
View more

Love their homemade ice cream with ghazal bennat(arabic cotton candy). It was the first time trying it & I absolutely loved it. Very unique dessert. I recommend it.View more
had: cheese roll, falafel, hommos hab el labban, mouttabal, yalangy, salad arugula with halloum, frikkeh & mozzat. take out, 130 CAD on a positive note, the mouttabal was fine. but, i would not be surprised if it turned out the falafel were made from store bought mix (more on that later). very dry, no crunch on outside, none of the qualities of an elite falafel. the hab el labban was forgettable, which is maybe a high point here. 90+% of the volume of the arugula salad with halum was indeed just a dump of arugula, which, fair, is true to the name, but its also a 20$+ salad so id expect something more inspired. the "gourmet" menu section frikkeh was easily the weakest dish of the bunch. overcooked, hardly seasoned grain whose consistency & lack of flavor resembled that of oatmeal. seasoning aside, the meat was... acceptable? but really nothing special either, i again here have doubts about its supposed "gourmet" nature. this was such a thoroughly bland meal. i was excited to try this because some reviewers claim this is competitive with a certain other famous or infamous syrian restaurant in montreal. whatever you think of the "value" of the latter, i cant help but think such reviews were produced under the sway of some ideology; these two are _not even playing the same sport._ the thing that really got me was the pita thrown into our takeout order, pictured below. this is a microcosm of my whole beroya experience. to present (& charge) as a middle eastern locale on the finer side & not have enough pride in the craft to bake your own is wild to me. at least if you're going to use pita from the grocery, throw it on the grill & in another bag or something, you might fool some clients. come on yallView more
Bonne cuisine, portion genereuse ( faites partager), niveau de servive variable selon les jours, beaucoup de bruits ( samedi soir) prix $$$View more

Honestly I hate to put a negative review on such a nice place, but it's aggravating to pay 200CAD+ for two people & not get anything special out of it. My husband & I went for the iftar menu, & honestly it's tooooooooo overpriced for the portions - you get a SCOOP, one scoop of lentil soup, seriously? In comparison to lylac which also has a nice atmosphere & the EXACT same food, you get DOUBLE the portion there (lentil soup, mezze, etc) for half the money paid & they both taste amazing For clarity, the taste is amazing, except for the filet mignon kababs they were chewy. The service is also very good, but to pay this much for normal Syrian food is too much honestly with no live entertainment or anything special to make it this expensive is not worth it - no added value whatsoever. Not repeating unfortunately.View more
Great service, very attentive & friendly staff. The food is extraordinary, every mezze is special. Authentic with their special twist. The raw meat is the best i have ever tasted. The grilled meat is so tender. Muhammara, rqaqat... must tryView more
