This is my second time dining at Benedetta, & it continues to impress. From the moment you walk in, the service is warm & attentive, the ambiance is cozy & elegant, & the food is consistently outstanding. It truly feels like a refined dining experience you'd expect while traveling abroad. Highly recommend for both the atmosphere & the exceptional cuisine.
What a beautiful experience we've had ! This place is absolutely amazing ! The food is delicious, we had such a great service & the ambiance is so unique! I definitely recommend to everyone ! This is the new place to go for your date nights or dinner with some friends in the old port of Montreal!
Such a beautiful restaurant! We had an incredible evening! The service was amazing & the food was spectacular! We really enjoyed the night! Parking was not so bad & walking distance to everything! We will definitely be back.

I booked this Old Port restaurant for my birthday, & it was honestly the most perfect experience from start to finish. We were a large group, & everything was handled so seamlessly, the staff went above & beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. The atmosphere was exactly what I was hoping for: warm, vibrant, & elevated without feeling pretentious. It created the perfect setting for such a special night. The food was absolutely incredible, every dish was beautifully presented & full of flavor, & all of my guests kept talking about how good everything was.
I came here for lunch on February 20th. I always loved the sandwiches here & they've somehow improved them even more! The lady working was really nice & provided amazing service
Great experience - served by Mike - the Old Port is known for parking issues therefore we Uber'd knowing very well the parking situation.
Food was great. Super busy but very much expected knowing that it's Valentine's Day weekend.
Overall amazing experience - the vibe is cozy & then you can enjoy their speakeasy downstairs called Capella.
Food was amazing- we had the pasta & bavette. I also ordered an espresso martini & it was perfect. I usually wait more than 30-40 minutes at restaurants in Old Montreal. Wait times don't bother me as much.

The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, with good lighting & appropriate music. The setting has potential, especially given its location in Old Port Montreal.
Unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing. The service was disorganized & unprofessional. Staff appeared inexperienced & overwhelmed. We experienced long wait times, & several dishes were brought to our table that were not ours. The team seemed rushed & confused throughout the evening.
The food quality was unacceptable. My plate arrived cold. The bavette was extremely chewy & lacked flavor, & the potatoes were undercooked. I ate very little of my meal. When the server cleared my plate, which was nearly untouched…no one asked whether there was an issue or offered to address it. The lack of attention & basic service standards was concerning.
Considering the restaurant's prime location & pricing, the quality of both food & service does not meet expectations. You will pay premium prices for a substandard experience.
To make matters worse, parking in the area was poorly indicated, & we ended up receiving a $100 parking ticket.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience. I would not recommend this restaurant. There are far better options in the area that provide better value & service.
I went to Benedetta on February 14th for Valentine's Day. It's a new restaurant that opened in early December, & unfortunately, that inexperience shows.
The 5-course menu was nicely presented visually, but that's about where the praise ends. The first three courses were average at best. Honestly, you could make the same dishes at home without much effort. Nothing memorable, nothing refined enough to justify a tasting menu.
The main course was decent on my end, but my partner's bavette steak was completely rubbery. I took one bite & had to spit it out immediately because it was impossible to chew. For a restaurant positioning itself as upscale, serving meat like that is unacceptable.
The dessert tasted no better than a basic Betty Crocker brownie you could make at home. No finesse, no depth, no'wow' factor.
As for the drinks, they were just okay. The lychee martini was borderline, & that's a cocktail that's pretty hard to mess up. At one point I sent a drink back after only 2-3 sips because it simply wasn't good, & it still showed up on the final bill.
The service was disappointing from start to finish. The staff seemed stressed & disorganized. About 5-10 minutes after we sat down - before we even had time to properly look at the menu - the server was already rolling his eyes. He would drop off the plates & walk away immediately, not even taking the time to explain the dish. There was little to no attention throughout the meal, & we were rarely asked if everything was okay.
All of this would have been easier to overlook if the price reflected the experience. But $340 including tax & tip for two people is excessive for what we received. At that price point, you can easily get a far better meal elsewhere.
Very disappointing for what was supposed to be a special evening.
Très mauvaise expérience à ce restaurant, c'est malheureux car il y a beaucoup de potentiel mais le service est mauvais & la nourriture est de piètre qualité. Je déconseille fortement ce restaurant le décor est est pas au goût du jour & ils veulent seulement votre argent.
Amazing new restaurant in the heart of old port. Food was exquisite, you can tell they source high quality products & the chef is super skilled. The service was also super good compared to other places in Montreal. The place is charming, minimally decorated that lets the bones of the building speak for themselves. Good place to hang out with friends or even for a date. There's a speakeasy club downstairs with as much charm!
