Horrible experience with waitress. She never came to see us for water coffee or just check up on us. got my order wrong, then when she said she'll get it for me, she never did until the end & said she'll bring it right away, but I was already done with my food. She took our plates when we were done, didnt come for 40mins to ask us if we wanna pay for the bill. 0/5 service.

My wife & I just moved to the Ville de Saint-Laurent part of Montreal the beginning of October. Our first visit to a local area restaurant was the Ben & Florentine .. they have an extensive menu that covers both small & large breakfast, lunch & early supper offerings. The restaurant is a good size & wadnt overly noisy. Our food was excellent, eggs cooked perfectly with delicious hash brown potatoes. Our server was attentive, polite & quite comical. We enjoyed our visit & look forward to a return very soon.
Since it's recent change in ownership there has been a marked reduction in service & overall food quality.
Came in for lunch Friday October 3rd & ordered a western omelet. It took forever to receive my order & when it arrived at the table it was cold.
I always order a large fresh orange juice but was told the machine has been broken for a month. I always order rye toast but was told that although rye toast is on the menu that they haven't received any rye bread with their daily bread order.
I had to order my drink 3 times before the waiter remembered to bring it I don't blame him as he was alone serving a rather full restaurant.
Looks like the New owner is cutting costs .. Well the new owner just lost a regular customer who had litterally spent a few thousand dollars over the last year or so..

Good breakfast spot. I got the classic breakfast which is very good value for money. 13$ gets you 2 eggs, toast, potatoes, & a choice of meat (& coffee). Eggs were cooked perfectly, so was the bacon. Service was good, though a small mistake in the order was made. Restaurant was clean & comfortable, though the facilities were a little dirty. All in all, pretty good experience.

Prix augmentés & portion diminuée. Pas de refill de café offert lors de ma dernière visite. Attente un peu longue avant d'être servi & air climatisé trop froid dans le restaurant.
Hello everyone today it was my first time & Ben Florentine in vsl First, it was amazing place very clean. The food was delicious do service it was so fast. The waitress was 100% the new Owner she was very kind, very fine friendly & all the stuff was a very professionals. I recommend a displace. I think it's the number one Ben in Florentine de Montreal for sure I will be there every week

My husband & I went to Ben & Florentine for breakfast on a Monday morning, & we had a great experience! Even though the place was a bit crowded, the service was impressively fast. Our server (I wish I remembered her name!) was incredibly sweet & friendly, which made our visit even better.
I ordered the vegetarian plate, & it was absolutely delicious - fresh & full of flavor. My husband got the Big Ben & loved it too. Everything was cooked perfectly, & the portions were just right.
We highly recommend this place & will definitely be coming back again!
Too cold in the restaurant, asked to reduce air conditioning, 3 other clients that day also complained, they said they couldn't because otherwise, too hot in the kitchen for the staff. Not sure I'll go back. It's unfortunate as I've been going there for several years. Last time I went, was also very cold. On top of that, the bacon was overcooked, very hard, hurt my teeth. Had to return it. 😔
Staff was attentive & kind. Owner is amazing. She truly made sure that we were comfortable & well taken care of. Food was delicious. Has unique options that you won't find at other franchise breakfast places. What more can you ask for. Will definitely be back ♥?
I loved the food & service. The girls were very attentive, & Patricia was very, very helpful. It was a lovely breakfast with friends, with spectacular food. Everything was very clean. I hope to return soon.
